Yeah I know Marr used to play it without a capo, in open E then. I chose to play it in open D to not take the risk of breaking my strings with the high tension when you tune your guitar in open E.

I always play this in open E. I know that open D w/ 2nd fret capo is more authentic (that's how it was recorded), but I prefer the grittier live version.

Hey thanks a lot for your coment.

If you want to play this song, you have to change your tuning from the standard one.

For this track, you must have : D,A,D,F#,A,D instead of E,A,D,G,B,E; with a capo at the 2nd fret.

In that way, if you play all the strings without your left hand, you'll have a major E.
