I found the manual easier to follow which is unusual for me. Videos usually help me learn quicker.

What you do not show is how to make it so you do not hear the kick drum. However, this tut is good if you do not want to step on your kick in the mix.

Just mute the kick drum in the mixer. Or route the outputs directly from the Redrum outputs to the sidechain inputs on the compressor, instead of using the "To Device" outputs on the mix channel.

Thanks for the reply. I actually knew that. I was just being grouchy that the video did not tell you to run the Redrum into a mixer so you could do that. I have also just figured out how to gate a sound as opposed to ducking it with compression. I have not tested it. When I get it running, I will post.
