Why's he called "Sazum(that how you spell th donkey's name?)?" Then, "A pull on his tail answers that!" It looks like I learned a new word--sazum must be arabic for tornado. Say, when they face a really monstrous foe, can't Bez turn into another miracle donkey so they have 2 cyclone-like Sazums?
Gosh! Do you know how many years have passed since I saw an episode of the arabian knights? Let me see! I was 10 then! I'm 44 now! Holy swiss cheese Batman! That's 33 years! I feel old!
sometimes the toons of my youth make my brain hurt, but the girls did say they wanted an Arabian Knights theme for this years party. this is the one they mant right?
There ought to be a collection of these on DVD. Kids today don't know what they're missing. You know, stories with actual plots - and no line of toys!
Been through the major cartoons of 1968 via YouTube - The Adventures of Gulliver, Huckleberry Finn and it's ground breaking blend of live action and animation and now this...it has it all - but if the music score borrows some from 1967's Shazzan, that could be excusable coz the score is both exotic and appropriate...and I love it!
This was 1968 when Hanna-Barbara made this cartoon. I wonder how it would go over with today's American audience with all the Muslim hating that's going on?
Yeah those muslims that attacked on 9/11 and commit atrocities all over the world are so peace loving. Shut the hell up. Newsflash: THEY started this war. We hate them for a reason.
@SFCMAC57 Hehe, ok. I guess you better hate Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson, and Shaquille O'Neil because they're Muslims. Newsflash: They are also Americans. You hate Americans, LOL.
Those words have been going through my head since forever, and I haven't been lucky enough to see the Banana Splits since the early 80s (I thought it was from Shazzan)

Nice to see the 1st episode I had never seen.

Gotta love how the heroic prince is whiter than Aladdin and Tack combined. And Baghdad was considered to be part of "Arabia".

Love this cartoon! Too bad these guys weren't around to get rid of Sadaam a few years ago. They could have saved us a lot of greif!!

We could've used these guys as well as Shazzan in getting rid of Saddam.

Politically speaking, some would ask why the prince and the lady in this cartoon look "white" and why is the prince the leader of the team?
Don't forget Hajii from Jonny Quest being the stereotypical indian.
