@KpopManiacSFL im a big kara fan but this really is not true at all, snsd released Gee in early 2009 and their popularity exploded after that leaving all other girl groups behind. Kara had a small hit with honey after gee but the song that really made them famous was mister which was released in late 2009. After snsd, kara is probably the #2 group in korea although arguably 2ne1 could be considered #1 also.

I don't think the people here that are criticising SNSD are neccesarily saying they didn't ask permission about changing the song's choreography but rather their change (whether not their own choice or not) was a little disrespectful to Hyori since they were covering her song and somewhat paying a tribute to Hyori. Changing the song's feel through dance makes it seem like they want to upstage Hyori. Which I don't think they did to be honest. No hate here....just my own opinion and observation.

SNSD look pretty, but they are boring to watch. Worse, they ruined the meaningful "OK dance" into something indistinct.

Im my opinion, KARA's version was much better. They danced better and sang the song better. SNSD's version was ok but their voices were too high for the song, so it made a bigger effect of it not being better than KARA's.SNSD, please dance accordingly to the choreography correctly next time ok? I think SNSD lacks of practice here -__- they changed the coreography, their dance is not even near good, but their great posture helps them so much that it looks fine.
