No, I'm not. I know it wasn't Israel's land. The Israelis took a lot of land after being attacked many times by their Arab neighbors. They took it for the sole purpose in trading it for peace, which is what they have done with most of it. This isn't anything new. Throughout history, many have taken land to trade it for peace. That debate as to who won the war is endless. There is no clear winner. On the battlefield mistakes were made on both sides and i would say that Israeli military gets a bit of the upper hand since they were able to capitalize on Egyptian mistakes.
The numbers posted do not really mean much in the absence of context(for example most of Egyptian casualties were suffered in the last few days of the war).
And it was Golda who cried to Nixon before any Egyptian cried to the USSR.

israel never got past 60 miles from cairo with politcal negotiations which included top israeli generals such as Elazar even attended with gamassy i believe on egypt's side taha magdoub on egypts side some UN observers and mainly a political delegation not military not tanks there it was held in a tent i believe on 101 km road but military sharons endeavors in sinai was a failure as elazar and other israeli generals have stated. egypt held 15-25 km in sinai from start to end of war(ceasefire)

Egyptian had sam missiles which was for defensive purposes, but EAF were not equal with the IAF. Egypt used mainly Mig-21 Israelis used mainly Mirage IIICJ/Nesher and F-4E.
Israeli air planes had better air to air missiles and better radars, some Egyptian air planes had simple air to air missiles and no machine gun so after using the 2 missiles they are useless, they just become an easy target.
Egyptians did not use Mig-23 or Mig-27 so you are just twisting the facts.

Egypt never stood a chance, initial success was mainly due to the use of portable soviet ssm's. Once Israel found a genius method of locating and destroying them (which everyone should read about) Eagypt was screwed. The Israeli army completely surrounded and cut off the 3rd Egyption army, and had to supply it with food and water to keep the Egyption soldiers alive.

Without latest American weapons Israelis couldn't end the war, every one saw how the Israelis were crying and licking American balls to get those weapons.
With the American reconnaissance the Israelis knew all the locations of the sams and the possibility of making a gap. (again it was ball licking).
Now the Egyptian army is almost equal with the Israelis in terms of technology, just imagine if they coordinate with the rest of the Arabs what they can achieve now!

With out Soviet Weapons, millitary Strategy and recon, the Egyptions would have been throwing stones, and Egypt is only doing well today because of American support. Israel managed to pin point Egyption SSM's by fltiong Israeli build UFV kilometers infront of their air craft to force the SSM's to lock their radar on to the remote control UFV's and therefore give away their position by loosing their stealth to armed Israli aircraft afew k's behind. the 3rd army was surrounded after breaking cease fire two times (on 22 and on 24 october) under the supervision of the USA and Henry Kissinger , and with the american airlifts that reached 6.5 : 1 of the soviet airlifts for all the arab countries.
