have you heard tom in all of the other live performances of AvA? His vocals are clearly dubbed in this, as it was their first ever performance as a band. they wanted to sounds the best possible ie: what's on the album. You can tell that there is a lot of recordings playing in bass and guitar, as there is guitar when neither are strumming, same with bass.

a lot of times, the band tells the audience that due to them being...such and such they use some recordings. and other times, since this was BEFORE the album came out, they just turn down the mic and instruments down a lot, so you can't really tell. Like, they would actually sing and play, but no one can hear THEM, they hear a louder dubbed over version playing out of the amps that the mic and guitars are plugged into
