  • WE'RE STAR FOX

  • WHO ARE YOU GUYS??

    We're Starfox.

    YOU'LL NEVER DEFEAT ANDROSSSSSS!!!!

  • star fox and really good graphics for its time and they are still not that bad

  • Peppy: Aim for the open spot!

    Slippy: THAT'S WHAT SHE-

Falco: SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU GODDAMNED PRICK!!!

    Fox: Yes.

  • "WHO ARE YOU GUYS?!"

I was caught off guard by that line. Freaking LOL'd.

  • I loved this game, lol...

  • The difference is that the second one is darker.

  • I hate how they control scheme is jacked up on the VC. Why did they change the position of the nova, boost and brakes on the VC controller?! AGH.

  • what is VC?!?

  • @gary52093gary914 Virtual Console, a download service on the Wii Shop Channel that allows you to buy classic games.

  • What was the difference??

  • i heard peppy saying "fuck it of fox" and also fox saying "we're star fuckers"

  • o..o

    Whats the difference?

  • HOW DO YOU SAVE? I herd that you could not save, is that true? If it is than I just wasted on my hard earned wii points!

  • @kingkonz1 You don't really need to save. The game can be beaten in less than an hour.

  • nice video but....

    whats the diference?

  • what's the diference? i see them exactly the same

  • @trasmethrash Colors are less vivid in the wii's emulated version of the game. The Solar level on the wii doesn't look as good as the n64 version because certain textures appear too dark or muddled. The arwing tailflame is a duller color on the wii.I have owned the wii version and the n64 version so I know.

  • After playing the first starfox for like 10 days straight.. this looks fucking amazing...

  • I don't see the difference here. Could you update your description.

  • if u look at the first game play, he uses a more powerfull(blue) bullets to kill the boss, this mean that the bosses aircraft will be shot to bits in lesser hits. the second time he shoots the boss in (green) bullets it take quite some time as it is less powerfull, the last is the same as the first.

  • Are the graphical quirks present in the actual VC game or are they from the recording itself?

  • So what's the difference between them all?

  • ultimate lawl "hey einstein, aim for the open shot!"

  • Seems like the opening time (where he opens the slots you shoot at) for the boss is a little faster in VC...

If not, the speed at which the parts fall and explosion at the end are sped up in VC. It's subtle, but there.

  • In the VC can you still do charged unlocked shot glitch?

  • Did you just fight the same guy 3 times in a row?

  • The fucking best Game ever for N64.

  • I don't see the difference.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • Whats the difference?

  • "Hey, Einstein! Aim for the open spots!" XD

  • @TwilightPrince123

    that's what she said

  • holy moly! thats the boss fight in the original star fox for snes!

  • How do you fight this boss?

  • in the level, coneria, there is a part witch you will encounter a river,go under the arches without missing any, then falco will say "pretty smooth fliying,Fox.",then falco will attempt to go through a water fall, follow him and you will encounter a new path to the alternate boss, witch afterwards leads you to the path(red path)

to the hard ending(if you beat it on the hard ending you will unlock "Expert mode"

,its cool cuz when you see fox in Expert mode,he is wearing his father's sunglasses.

  • this is an alternate boss choice in both games. falco leads you under a waterfall to fight this one

  • Cant let you do that Star Fox!

  • so , what is the difference cus i dont see it , i see 3 diferents videos and i cant see , please tell me

  • Don't you hate it when you accidently shoot a charged shot? Ahh, such memories.

  • id rather play starfox 64 emulator than vc not because its free but beecause i can set it to my xbox controller ^^

  • on starfox64 for the N64 the first boss is a monkey dude inside a land vehicle that walks on land

  • the first level has 2 bosses. this is the alternate one (it says so in the description lol)

  • @PiccoloCube LOL WHAT A NOOB!

  • @PiccoloCube he obviously hasn't collected all the medals xP

  • that's the default boss, but this flying one is in the N64 version too. you have to fly underneath all the arches and then falco will lead you behind the waterfall.

  • this game was tailored for the 64 controller. just doesnt feel right using the classic or gamecube for that matter.

  • same prob. altough i got used to it by now (and my n64 controllers are all

    busted : P )

  • Only because you cannot change the controls. If you could change it to what the SNES controls were for the original Starfox, I think you'd have a winner for the VC (at least the classic controller).

  • Nice job, but YOU'KLL NEVER DEFEAT ANDROOOOOSSSS

  • Man I will never forget the sound of this bosses ship. Still amazing to me till this day. It could even rival ship sounds in movies.

  • That is a boss from the original starfox

  • Differences that I noticed were that in the N64 version the exhaust flares are STILL better looking. VC must have toned them down for some lame reason. Then in version 1.0 a big m***er-f**ing streak constantly ran across the screen :S .. other than that, i can't tell any differences.

  • hahaha first boss own3d

  • I fuckin' love this game. I prefer the VC version however. I feel that the GC controller adds for tighter control... That and the fact I hate the N64 controller. Damn analog stick ain't worth a shit.

  • hey n64 controller rules it has its own idiots guide just how to use it!!!

  • ahhaha Peppy epic line... INCOMING ENEMY FROM THE REAR!!! xDD (drop altittude) lol

  • i can HEAR him say it xD

what is it that made everyone remember half the dialoque = P

  • For a lot of people, its one of the first games that had that much voice acting. And some of it was pretty bad, too.

  • Lies, all the voice acting was amazing. Especially when you compare it to games like Star Ocean 4 >_>;

  • i only knew mario's voice acting before this game ^_^, i wouldn't say it's bad..at least it makes me feel like it's a sci fi movie (wich always has a bit weird dialogue to me =P)

    what's your favourite line?

mines: "can't let you do that..starfox."

but that's mainly because of vg cats briliant comic = P

always hated fighting the star wolf team on venom!

  • my fave is probably the most famous.

    DO A BARREL ROLL!

    DO AN EGG ROLL!

    DO A CINNAMON ROLL!

  • cinnemamon roll?

never heard of it but it sounds delicious ^_^

  • they´re more delicious than barrel rolls that´s for sure

  • @CidHighwindFF7 pretty bad ass. i kno more one liners from this game than probably anything else in my entire life

  • Vc is virtual console rite? like for the Wii?

  • yep! 1000 wii -points what makes for 10 bucks for the game ^_^ (very worth it since it's still the best starfox game!)

  • You did better on the second one than the first one.

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!

  • The only differences I see are slightly smoother graphics, color change in the Arwing's engine exhaust and enemies flash green instead of red. :/

  • Holy hell, that is the first boss from the original starfox!

  • It is because Star Fox 64 is an improved N64 version of the original Star Fox on the SNES.

  • No, it's worse.

  • Is that why I can't play the original SNES game after playing the N64 version without being bored? Because it's worse?

THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE!! : D In the fucked up universe you live in.

  • i dont realy see any difference

  • the only difference I see is the fire behind the Arwing isn't white in the inside, but a darker pink...not to mention certain enemies and bosses *cough*Aquas' Clam boss*cough* flash black instead of seizure-inducing red.

  • What's the difference?

  • How do I get too this boss? I only beat the other walking robotboss. Someone plz reply to this :)

  • You have to fly through all the arches on the water section of Corneria (the one with the water skiing robots).

If done correctly, Falco will say he's "Found the target" and Fox will follow him to this boss instead of the Walker.

  • Thank's I will try this later today^^

  • Make sure you save Falco, when he's having a problem with his "G-Diffuser".

  • Um, I don't see a difference?

  • I couldn't help but notice that you time your Somersault so that when it goes into the cinematic, the Arwing really has to make a weird turn.

    Me too.

  • wut do you mean by vc version

  • Virtual Console, the one you can download from the Wii Shop Channel.

  • Dude shut up. This an easy boss, making an ideal comparison between two different versions of the game.

  • I downloaded the game myself for the virtual console there have been no problems that I had with it. I had also bought the orignial one when I was a teenager I first played this game when I was 13 and then got my own copy when I was 14.

  • holllyyy... do u have an auto button presser thing, whatever theyre called, or are u just impervious to charlie horses?

  • no

    just fast fingers

  • @PiccoloCube where is the difference? i dont see one...

  • This Game brings back good ol memories!

  • Leon had an awesome voice in this lol I AM THE GREAT LEON!

  • best starfox game. I have it for n64, but I bought it on VC so I could bring it to college.

  • I really hope they make a new star fox game on the wii more like this. Where they just fly instead of all this running and land battles.

And give leon a better voice.

  • I cant really see any difference...except when ur crew flies by you in the second one.

  • That's actually a glitch that happens when you do a loop right before the boss says' "you'll never defeat andross"

  • I've tried that glitch at least ten times, but only ever got it to work once, except I usually based my timing on the "We're Star Fox" line.

  • Why were you able to dip your wings underwater?

  • The enemy boss warcraft looks a lot like the pilot himself. lol

  • to get to this boss u need to fly under all the arches before the waterfall.

  • hey thanks alot, ive been wondering how to get to that boss for years now, i was actually about to ask here until i read ur comment. anyway thanks alot : )

  • Don't forget you got to save Falco

  • One difference I did notice was that on the first and second clips, your crew likes to fly passed your lasers as your firing at the boss and they get mad when they're hit.

    XD

  • Actually it's just a pretty overused, generic way of telling someone you're gonna kill them.

  • And where do you think C&C got it...?

  • One difference I noticed was on the last version Falco wasn't constantly going "That's it, Fox!' When you blasted off pieces of the enemy ship.

  • On ssbb(sper smash bros brawl) u can play this game but the voices are just jiberish for some odd reason. maybe they werent allowed to

  • In the options you can choose between Lylat (the gibberish used in previous SF games) and the spoken dialogue. It was really just a nostalgia thing, but I think the voices were left out of the Brawl demo because of space constraints.

  • Nope you can play it with voices i got peppy to say DO A BARREL ROLE and then the demo ended =[

  • in my version (i dunno which one is) i see that boss crashing with a mountain before we arrive, and another boss appears... anyway, what's the diference? the quality or another thing?

  • to beat the other one you have to to save falco first and later fly underneath those stone arcs in the water, after it falco shows you a "secret" path

  • How do you do a sommersault with the gamecube controler on the VC version?

  • I think R or L.

  • thats a barrel roll u dummie... (i just had to say that....)

i assume that it is "Y" and errr... wait... that would be boost.... C left and down? Y and down? i have no clue....

  • Oh my, I'm wrong. You're right.

  • i can shoot just as fast

  • I don't get it. What's the difference?

  • Its a cool game i like the music.

  • i played this yesterday after not playing in a long time and i sucked bad

  • I played this yesterday after not playing in a long time and i pwned andross on hard mode so there u have it..... and today i played it and got a medal on.... wats the planet where u first meet starwolf? the one where the base has a bomb in it? watever....

  • its fortuna and what i meant is no medals. I can run through the game easily just can't all medal

  • Fortuna, or in Japanese: Fichina.

  • i noticed a bit of lag in the v1.1 of the game... is this rite? right before the big explosion, there is a big lag in the third version... the second version looks the better to me (i think the video bug is not belonging to the game but to the video upload)

  • The reason i think it was lag alot on Brawl is cause of the space on the disc, it has a full 5 minute demo for ocarina of time. I have it for VC and it doesnt lag at all, just how i remembered it

  • what about bad emulation? that has been the most noticeable problem in VC so far.

  • how do you get to that alternate boss

  • u get to that alternate boss by saveing falco's ass at the checkpoint, then go under all the arches in the watery part with those scateing guys.... i always use the alternate boss.... seams so much easer, even though it lets u go the hard route.... the hyper lazors (the blue ones) pwn that things ass....

  • Man I'm happy my n64 still works. When I was doing the demo on VC from brawl the lag was horrible. I didn't even think about buying it for the wii after that. Starfox64 is unplayable with lag and stutter.

lol I still have my n64 box with the date my parents purchased it... 10/14/1997. Why do I feel old now x.x.

  • Falco: Hey einstein i'm on your side!

  • VC seems smoother. Also I don't know but I'm noticing a few more details with the VC version. Too bad theres no force feedback I think on the VC correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Well, technically, the higher framerate is how it's supposed to be. The N64 just lagged a lot.

Also, I tried StarFox 64 in Brawl on the Masterpieces and it lagged. A lot. Is it like that in the actual Virtual Console?

  • what kind of controller you use on the virtual console?

  • esta bien facil todo es trallo ese caset lo cambie pr un gemboy soy un tonto

  • I can see. VC gets more frames during explosion and such.

  • and the differences??? both are the same

  • framerate wants a word with your eyes.

  • LOL. Funny.

  • there are much worse vids around.

  • I always fight this guy, because he's easier.

  • what theres a 1.1 VC version?....I got to the alternative boss once,i dunt know how i did it,how?

  • nintendo made an update that changed the framerate in a few areas. nothing else was altered.

  • i always thought slippy was a girl due to his high voice, it wasnt until the next game of star fox adventures that i figured it was a dude.

  • what's the diff?

  • Thanks! I did it and it worked.

  • Oh, you mean with the water skaters?

  • not everyone can spot framerate differences

  • looks like he got the medal for this level

  • wen he says you never defeat andros at the exlposion the frames per secon get slow on the 64 vercion but on virtual console are a bit quikier which its great only difrence ther(sorry for bad english)

  • theirs a vc 1.1? and how is it different from 1.0?

  • runs worse at some parts. youtube is crap so it is reallyhard to spot.

  • there isnt any difference

  • I noticed in 1.1 you bounced off the water and in 1.0, you didn't. I remember being able to fly in the water when I played the game as a kid, but when I went back to play the game on the same N64 with the same controller and same cartridge, I would bounce off the water. What gives? I liked cutting into the water before the fight. :/

  • When Fox answered the first boss's question he should have said, "We're Star Fox Bitch!"

  • so i guess i'm not the only one who does a somersault after each boss.

  • Ahhh. I've been playing the N64 version for years. I tryed out the VC trial in Brawl out of boredom and I was dissapointed. I like the choppy controls.

  • each one is better detailed and the VC versions' sounds are digitally remastered

  • dont really notice a difference ...

  • You're hella faster than me in firing. I can never it the A Button THAT fast!

  • maybe he was using a turbo controller?

  • he was probably hitting the A button with two fingers, thats what i normally do when I want to shoot fast

  • I really don't know if this is true, but I noticed that the guy playing occasionally fired charged shots during his rapid firing. I notice this happens to me when I hold the button down longer in between releases (not especially long, just an extra half second)...maybe Starfox has a bit of burst fire? Isn't it really hard to fire just one hyper laser shot? Even if it isn't burst fire, the charge shots linked in with the normal shots probably does more damage.

  • my finger just failed to release and press the button properly.

  • wii better

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!!!

  • isn,t this boss the first boss in star fox for the super nintendo?

  • Well, they're at least very similar.

  • it was probably put that way on purpose, so hard-core starfox fans would notice.

  • what was

  • simularities between this boss, and the nearly identical boss from star fox 1

  • ya.

  • Something makes me think we ALL do a somersault after we nuke a boss. ;)

I noticed a slight difference in audio...might've been my imagination. Details look crisper, too.

  • i like the explosion at the end of each boss.

    TOTALED!

  • what's VC? I never heard of it and i was only 2 when this game came out, my brother had it and i only played it when i was 3 or 4.

I wish i had this game and a 64, mah step brother has one, but not this game.

sigh... im sad now, i missed out on all the best games invented.... :*(

  • A VC, is Stands for Virtual Console, this is a virtual console game used by the nintendo wii. Nintendo wii is an emulator as well as a console and you can download these games/virtual console games from the wii shopping channel at a small price

  • I know what your feeling, luckily I got all the games unlike you, I missed nothing important. But I remember somehow loosing all the good systems probably because my brother loves to sell games even good ones. He is such a stupid spender! But, thanks to Gamers and Amazon I have more of the classics back.

  • the title should be "de ja vu" I think i saw the same thing 3 times

  • The VC versions are less choppy than the N64 version. Very nice when you want to continuously pull off the rapid-fire trick.
