Amen, brother, amen. Barack knows the essence of the problem, as evidenced by the inartfully phrased "bitter and clinging to guns & God" comment during the primaries. Republicans used social issues to divide and conquer a disenfranchised electorate who realized their economic interests weren't getting represented by either side. Give them a choice again and it'll be the start of a new New Deal coalition, and the end of an era of gleeful corporate looting of America.

The government itself needs to be 'fixed'. Nearly the entire system is broken in one way or another.

A. Congress is completely outside voter control

B. The president has no initiative, aside from getting a second term. And what about DURING their second term?

C. We have essentially a two party system. Not only does your vote count much, much less; but now we can only choose the lesser of two evils,but you have no idea if your candidate will support your views, even if they promise.

Sadly Obama has submitted a Bill in the Senate that calls for the American tax payer to fund third world countries' welfare system at a cost of $800 Billion PLUS. Don't expect a lot from him on the economy.

Excuse me? America has been funding Third World countries for years, but only if we have an interest in those particular countries, and the help does come with strings attached. Now, exactly what bill are you talking about and what does it really do? It kills me how we;re so quick to throw that word "welfare" around, when big corporations get WAY more welfare in the form of big tax breaks---more than the average welfare recipient will see in their entire lifetime.

Thank you for your video, I think you are point on correct. Change we need, and not just at the edges but at the heart of matters. I believe Barack knows full well how broken the current system is (if the well-being of the bottom 90 percent is the measure).
