U should try milk of magnesia for ur oily skin before ur primer or ur foundation it works wonders if u use it everyday for a whike u will get rid of that oily skin forever trust me!
Im in love with your YouTube channell! Do u know how much the cost of the lactic acid peel? I've been having breakouts w/ my skin the last few months & I dont know what to do about it. I usually see a dermatologist every few months, but since Im not in Charlottesville anymore, I havent found a new one. I use the Purity foaming cleanser which I LOVE. I use Epiduo Gel which is my prescribed acne treatment. I started using this Biore astringent which I think is helping. Do u have any suggestions??
@shalar01 Hourglass Duo in Suede! That's all I use on my lids! Check out my makeup favorites of 2011 -- it's in there with everything else I pretty much have on! :]
My favorite skin care products are the Clinique Pore Refining Serum (seriously changed my life), Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, the Clairsonic Mia, and the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Acne Clearing Exfoliating Treatment. I'm not picky about cleanser as long as it has salicylic acid in it, or masks, although I love Origins Out of Trouble and Murad's Clarifying Mask. Great video! You're always well informed and well spoken, so I always check out your recommendations.
youre skin looks very glowy today! wow, seba-med is so expensive in America, here in Germany its just a cheap to normal drugstore brand. Im currently using Kiehl's Ultra Facial oil-free skincare line with the gel-cream not the lotion. The gel is fragrance-,silicon-,paraben-,colorant- and oil-free! nothing bad in it i think :P I always look at the ingredients before i buy things. For example i wanted to bought the Biotherm Biopur sos normalizer but a silicone is the 2nd thing on the list..
Hi Josh! Happy New Year! :) I hoping if you know of anything that can get rid of Liver Spots "Age Spots" I don't know what's causing them I'm only 18 years old.
Do you use any products along with Retin A? What I mean is, I just started using Retin A & I've been told that you shouldn't use any other products (like toners or moisturizers or serums) when you use retin a at night or you wont see the true affects of retin a..(again, this is just what I've been told by SOME people)
@EyeoftheWhiteWolf I do use products with retin-a -- I sometimes buffer retin-a by mixing it with my moisturizer or applying my moisturizer first if my skin is being a bit on the drier side -- keeps me from getting too dried out.
is tretinoin cream the same thing as retin-a? I have been using that lately and it makes my pimples go away but the skin around it so red, dry and sensitive!
@StyledinPink It is the same thing! Tretinoin is the name of the actual prescription, Retin-A Micro is the name brand. Consider cutting back to 3 or 4x a week or mixing with a moisturizer. :]
@barbiedlux Do it! I swear it's totally worth trying! It truly took me from not wanting to go outside even with tons of makeup on to a blemish here or there.
You said it: "Know your skin!" :) Those are words of wisdom! Great lists of 11! The 25% Mandelic peel from MUAC is definitely one of my faves for 2011. Have a wonderful new year! Wishing you health, wealth, love, happiness and prosperity in 2012!
@dinahout Exactly! I'm not being held responsible for a peel gone wrong! I'm hoping the Mandelic will be amazing -- I've been getting a few more little friends than usual (Late Fall/Early Winter my skin always hates me for a bit). And thank you! I hope you're having a wonderful new year as well and I hope the TCA Peel wasn't too bad! <3
Cystic acne is the worst! I had it in my early teenage years and now that I am in my late twenties, I do not break out in cystic acne unless I use Clinique (every Clinique product I have ever brought breaks me out in cystic acne) which I am severely allergic to or something else which my skin does not agree with
Is it true the Clarisonic causes a purging process?
@symmetricalastic Isn't it? I'm so glad my skin has come such a long way since then! And you could fairly well be allergic to a filler or some kind of extract they use in their products! As for purging with the clarisonic, I didn't have any issues with it, however, I can understand why people say it may do that.
@symmetricalastic IMO Clarisonic is not good for skin with active acne. I have acne-prone skin and even when I was clear it broke me out. I wasn't willing to stick around and see if it's just "purging" so I returned it. Also my brush smelled awful after using it just a couple times and nothing would get it clean! ick. Maybe because I use retin-A and too much flaky skin was getting stuck in there. Retin-A and Clarisonic is too much exfoliation IMO.
@asterismxx Yeah just like Josh said in his video that is too much exfoliating. Also, there is a delicate brush head which I bought because my skin is extremely sensitive. There is a sensitive brush head, but there is a delicate brush head. I had gone on twitter one day and Clarisonic without me asking sent me a free delicate brush head! It works well at removing all traces of acne, but of course I remove my make up first and then wash it.
@symmetricalastic Lucky for winning that brush head! I use the Deep Pore right now and I spoke with someone I know who works with Clarisonic and the Deep Pore is actually just as soft as the Delicate head, which I used to use! Being oily and clog prone, I got this one instead!

Oh & does the sunscreen make you look really white in pictures & stuff?
EyeoftheWhiteWolf 1 month ago
@EyeoftheWhiteWolf It's definitely not the best sunscreen for photos. For photos, consider a chemical-filtered sunscreen.

@miamiflutist Consider a mild exfoliant to lighten them (An alcohol-free toner with 2% BHA -- Salicylic Acid) and wear your sunscreen! :]
