Just a note for other druids soloing this:

I find it much more convenient to stealth past everything and kill Talon Lord Ikiss first, thus opening the door- should you scrub up you won't have to run the whole instance.

If you can sleep/root any of the mobs in the pack, then do so before you pull. When the others are dead, you can re-sleep/root if you need to and heal up.

Yes, after handing the quest in and getting your epic form, the guy in zangermarsh gives you an item to summon it over and over again, regardless on weather or not you get the mount, if you do it with a friend you can both keep doing it after one gets the mount

It's a summonable boss in heroic Sethekk Halls. You need to have a druid in the instance that's either in the process of, or has completed, the swift flight form quest chain to summon him.

atm me and a mage are trying to get this mount, (weve killed him twice) and its an effort. I was thinking, men it would be cool ot put up a vid on it, cause many cant have 2manned it, and solo it seems imposible, but sir, u are an awsome druid =), kudos for you =).

Yeah, I didn't think it was possible either when I first started 2-manning it with Arc, but once day he went AFK and I solo'd the first boss on my own. The next day I figured I'd give Anzu a shot, and got him down to about 17% both times, the next day I got him first attempt.

Well, I did this video back in December, and you can tell by the intro animation that my gear isn't amazing (t7 gloves/chest/legs, crafted belt/bracers, etc). So I don't imagine you'd need too decent gear for it to be doable (it might be tricky, but doable).

All I know is, in full valorous or better, it's a doddle once you get the strat down (hiding outta LOS for banishes without evade bugging him, heh) it's a doddle. Now whenever I do this I rarely drop below 80% hp.

i think that there is a chance. People never do them anymore for actual instance runs, its just 80s getting mounts in those 2 instances. And even then, the kael thas one is rather rare, and the anzu one, iv only seen a few on my server. I think there is a chance, but blizz sucks so they probably wont do anything about it

***for those of you who arnt able to solo her heres a very easy and simple way***

clear out one corner of the room, making it possible to reach the summoning spot, go ahead and summon anzu although the room isnt cleared. now run into a corner and shadowmeld/prowl. then when she spawns heal the eagle spirit.

the eagle spirit does 300 dmg to her every 1 sec, without aggroing anything.

sooooo....you can finnaly kill her without getting hit! try it out guys. good luck getting that mount

I tried that just to see if it worked, got him to about 92% before I was oom and got bored, heh.

I wonder though, if you actually manage to get him all the way to dead with this method, is he lootable given that you didn't actually do the damage yourself?

Yeah, you can only get it on heroic because you can only summon the boss in heroic mode.

cheers for the tips dude, day 3 for me, still no mount...87 tries for you, i feel for you, i hope im not so unlucky! anyway, at a 1% drop rate, you should technically get it within the next 13 tries! He evade bugged twice for me now, any tips on avoiding it, but still keeping out of LOS?

87 tries that sucks! Hope you get it soon. As a reply to the comment "you should technically get it within the next 13 tries." Unfortunately that isn't the way the math works since there is a 99% chance to NOT get the mount. This means that even after 100 tries the chance to get the mount is 1 - (.99)^100 or about 63.4%. Keep trying though, you'll get it eventually!

You can only summon him in heroic mode. If the object to click on is not there, you're probably trying it on normal mode.

its really easy. i walked in there after i got my flight form. solod it. no wipes. easy. Youre sispsoe to LOS him when he fade and birds are summoned u dont get hit by his flame strike or whatever. fights easy

Yup, it is really easy. I've one-shot him every day since I recorded that video, and yeah I LOS him now - although it's possible to evade bug him if you're not careful where you LOS him.

Oh yea, forgot to mention. assuming you took the Protector of the Pack talent, just invite 4 guildies to a group while you stealth to Anzu. it reduces the damage you take overall by 12% (3% x 4). This helps drastically if you don't have the best gear. I was still wearing 3-4 level 70 epics & some level 80 blues when I successfully killed him (took me 2 tries).

I had 33k health & 27k armor w/just a food buff & motw. I only have about 34% dodge though. Look up Prowess of Auchindoun for armory.

Strat: I did equip PvP trinket but did have glyph of Maul (a must imo). Start by RG/RJ then shift into bear. DPS the boss down until he banishes...pop out asap -> HT/RG/RJ yourself then shift back & tank the adds using maul/swipe. Look out for his 5-second stun. Use barkskin, Survival Instincts & trinket as needed. Use berserk/mangle spam on last group of adds.

I'm pretty much the same as you now, but I don't bother with rejuv during banishes (I'm around 36K health and 31K armour now with motw so don't take as much damage), but it means I usually have time to put a regrowth on the eagle spirit (300dps to everything in the room) to get the birds down quicker.

I also hit berserk at the beginning as soon as I have 5 lacerates on Anzu. It's usually available again by the time his second banish is over.

Do you need exceptional gear in order to do this as feral? and what is your dodge rate unbuffed?

I wouldn't really say exceptional no. As long as you have about 25K armour 30K health or so and 35% dodge self-buffed, you should probably be able to do it.

Obviously though, the more health you have the better (I'm at just over 35K w/motw) due to bigger ilotp heals.

Generally I start with mangle, get 5 stacks of lacerate then hit berserk and spam mangle (making sure to top up lacerate before it runs out)then the cooldown's up then for the final bit.
