  • lsd girl near the list , you dont even trip

  • I think I might be the only person who thinks this song is about social networking... MySpace, Facebook, and whatnot... putting up with "friends" shit or deleting them.

Think of it in that context. Am I wrong? I gotta be wrong. Surely I'm wrong.

  • @DarthMohammed - Certainly not impossible - but trying to nail exact what Patton's lyric are about is a slippery uphill slope into madness and higer learning.

    Enjoy your journey. :)

  • Ive noticed that anyone who quotes the lyrics gets thumbs up. Im so clueless that i just realised thats even an option. Im not sure what the benefit of that is. a strangers approval? what a strange insecure culture we live in.

  • wait either im an idiot or is the words on the album make an eye ball? i just might be right but im an idiot for not seeing it before

  • Ok, so it's like that, huh?

2 people grow on trees! ;)

  • more proof that anything mike patton touches...becomes gold.

  • @ElasticMinds Fuck that dude. Everything Mike Patton touches become Diamonds, then Multiples of Diamonds, then converts itself to Bruce Li as he is kicking Chuck Norris's ass, followed by an Elderly Folk flipping you off, because the wisdom that is Mike Patton is priceless... and yes, that does mean there is quite a bit of Elderly Sandwiches... But, it's the price of Pure amazingingnessicity.

  • @Oamanu - When Chuck Norris needs a hero, he looks up to Mike Patton.

  • @PadmoreMusic When Mike Patton needs a hero. Dude looks into a mirror.

  • I saw this cd at hastings 3 days ago. If I'd of known what the hell it was I would have bought it. I took my dvd rentals back yesterday and it was gone. =/ My life is fucking sweet, y'all.

  • "And I know that assholes grow on trees

but I'm here to trim the leaves

    and I'm afraid

    that you're still my friend

and you're just a piece of

    shit but I can

    overlook it today

    'cause you're still my friend"

    Fuckin' tight. Love it.

  • im trippen

  • another great job by Mike Patton!!

  • And I know that assholes grow on trees

But I'm here to trim the leaves..

  • Amon Forevaaaa

  • 1 person tripped!

  • what is this i dont even

  • @vmkstar99 funny comment is funny.

This is "Peeping Tom" consisting of Mike Patton, one of the music God's.

  • dont get to big for yo britchaaas

  • Mr Bungle-California just got a vinyl release!

    Mines is in the post!

    Fuck Yeah!

  • epicness drippin with awesomesauce

  • wot is da name of da song on dis vid

  • i think dis is the muthafuckin shit!!!

  • did mike have any problems with his dad in early times?because the lyrics of this song and god hates a coward make me think that somehow

  • I can hear my heart beatin´

Only this music can make me feel so

  • Fuck yeah Amon Tobin.

Who's this Patton fellow you guys keep talking about?

  • @kucharek01

a great musician and interesting figure

  • @kucharek01 the good father of voice....just that dont worry ;)

  • very sexy.....

  • however, you can't really judge how much of the band's material was published simply by the sound of a side project....Bungle really was an equal work output by everyone...you can see just by looking at the CD's

  • Have to say I prefer the original demo that was on the myspace years ago.

  • This music is not all that great. Mike Patton was better as a jazz singer but this experimental stuff is more bass and drums with jazz singing and sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't work.

  • At about 3:40 into this after listening to the first two tracks, I've decided to buy this album.

Not that I can afford it, seeing as I need Mr. Bungle's entire back-catalogue, Lovage, more Dillinger. Oh balls. xD

    YJ

  • this goes out to all the guys who say " i got you while you were good" get FUCKED

  • this guy knows how to record and master like noone, fucking patton sounds giant

  • yeah matthew gotta agree with you there. peeping tom is pretty grounding though. this has got to be the most relevant for me

  • Gotta love Patton. He has all these different projects and none of them sound the same.

Tomahawk- is pretty normal compared to most of it

Mr. Bungle- is the really bizarre crap

Dillinger Escape (side project)- heavy as can be

Peeping Tom- almost hip hop really

And of course Faith No More- amazing in every way.

  • don't forget lovage..

  • Don't forget Fantomas! Kind of the same stuff from Mr. Bungle, only more electronic, perhaps.

  • @Atmaweapon74 no way lol...sorry buddy...i don't want to start a youtube argument but bungle was a product of trey spruance above anything else, if you listen to his other band you'll hear the resemblance...patton and fantomas are a modern encarnation of naked city by john zorn, avant garde with some very death metalish nuances...

  • @azzarogabbana

Are you kidding? While I don't like when people place the credit solely with Patton for Mr. Bungle, I don't like the other end of the spectrum where people think Patton was barely involved in the band when he in fact put a large portion of effort into the band as everybody else did. He wrote pretty much 70% of California.

  • @junkiemonkey121 With regards to Bungle, California was mostly Patton, Disco Volante was mostly Trey and Trevor and the self-titled was more or less equal.

Without Patton, Bungle wouldn't be half the band they are, but likewise without Trey or Trevor! Can we not just be thankful that Bungle existed? XD

  • @ska2808

Yeah, not trying to disrespect the two. I really love both Trey and Trevor. They are absolutely amazing musicians.

  • @MatthewWarriorMan + Fantomas

  • patton un genio en progreso

  • That was just so cool: I made my benzo withdrawal in a cottage in the Swiss mountains and my daddy came to fetch me. On the autobahn: this music - and I was really able to overlook it. The album, and specially this song melted together with my self

    Daddy you're still my friend.

(Did I mention, that the sun was shining and the sky was clear?)

  • Tobin and Patton should work together more often, they're both really creative and experimental artists.

  • i just eargasmed

  • musical jumbalaya? awesome lol, kinda is

  • Awesome.

  • the music is brilliant to me

too strange to even tell the homies

how to classify Patton and his projects

its like musical jumbalaya that reigns supreme to the senses.

  • personally i think mr. bungle is still a little more out there when it comes to your musical jambalaya comment :) especially disco volante...

  • fucking Patton kicks

  • This is one of my fav's from this album. You think it's cool to be a fuckin ZEROOOO.

  • zehr gut!

  • This song is awesome!

I downloaded this and Mojo from Amazon.

  • riight

  • dont even trip
