I don't know of any restocking fee for returns to Macys, were you inferring that this was previously done? i know it is not done in our local Macy's stores

Just because a video exists on Youtube doesn't mean that people are still trying to bring back Marshall Field's. Jeez. Go do something productive instead of bashing people's history projects that they don't even care about anymore.
Replacing MF with Macy's is like replacing a Cadillac with a Chevrolet. MF was a high end operation, more conservative than NM and Bloomies, but offering custom made suits, and similar luxury goods. Macy's is a shot and beer kind of store, and Chicagoans are not fooled into thinking otherwise. A boycott of Macy's might wake up the corporate czars into considering the communities they serve.

whatever. this was for a competition and we ended up going to regionals. we made the movie right after the store closed to show how upset THE COMMUNITY was. that was almost a year ago, but i guess somebody is too slow to figure out that when the video is posted was actually DIFFERENT from when they decided to trash us. huh. who would have thought that maybe after we got our A we stopped caring as much b/c theres nothing we can do?

well, it was an important place for us chicagoans. it was claimed a national landmark, and the people were upset at the fact that a landmark in Chicago was going to be bought by another company; that's all.

Well, Marshall Field's may be gone but hopefully, it will come back. Ever since Macy's did this; I never parked my car near any Macy's store.

Macy*s is a great store, but at Christmas, seems to have not as much "magic" and "memories" as Marshall Field & Co. brought to Chicago...
