@070dh Brave? Sorry to say but running away from Russian 58th army armed with T-62s and T-55s while Georgians had T-72s with Urkainian upgrades and were outnumbering Russians 3:1 doesn't sound like very brave. Same goes for shooting a sleeping town at 3am with GRAD systems.
Russians saved Shevarnadze as well several times from Abkhazians. Saakashvili destroyed monument to the very Georgians that laid down their lives in WW2. Low act.

@giorev33661 Well TBH it doesn't matter who trains anyone. If the people that were trained are not mentally ready for real fight and are not battle-hardened, they won't be effective. Russian first Chechen campaign showed it. 18-19 yo Russian kids that were in the army shat themselves when attacked by the Chechen fighters that were more then hardened. Georgia is not a nation where combat is deep in history. They are artists, traders, anything but warriors. They are not into war.

It was the last independent TV station in Georgia. Now all TV networks are controlled by the Ministry of Communication. So they filter out things that they want. I hope that Sakaashvili's murderous actions are the last nail on Georgia's coffin to become a NATO member. The US wants to get power in Eurasia badly. Well i don't claim to know everything. We have a ton of resources still untapped [Alaska = oil country] yet that doesn't stop us from taking the oil of our captures. Not to mention, the U.S. probably has more money invested then any other country for basic living needs [also needed for our population]. America did not take military action against Russia because it was settled in a peaceful manner. Georgia could have resolve it in a peaceful negotiation instead they poke the bear and got chewed up. Most of us Americans are against the war in South Ossetia & in the Middle East. Do some reasearch and more than 70% don't support Bush war campaign.
