  • Rod was better then deion

  • @MrThrowBacKing I agree

  • there were actually 2 CB ahead of you dieon are you forgetting Ronnie Lott was a corner?

  • Deion Sanders should be #2 his college #FSU

  • Prime Time

  • At least top 15 man he is the best CB!

  • He stop being PrimeTime for 2 seconds to say, "naw Carolina could actually use the quarterbacks" then he's back to "WHO'S PICKING THIS LIST?!"

  • It's impossible to say who goes in front of the other #1 RECEIVER or the #1 CORNERBACK . Rice deserves to be #1 Wide Receiver but does that mean he should go in front of #1 Cornerback Deion?

It's impossible: They both are equal to each other. If anything, as rod says D wins champions, therefore Deion should be higher shouldn't he?

  • I love Deion Sanders. He's my starting corner in Madden. But I'm appalled by how appalled he is. But then again, he's Primetime!

  • Sorry but Dieon isn't top 10. It's a QB's league, and aside from them RBs and WRs are next in line of importance. Dieon is the biggest GAME CHANGER to ever play corner, but NO corner should be considered top 10 just by virtue of the game and what the different positions entail.

  • Hes lucky to get 34 if Michael Strahan is 99

  • Dion couldn't tackle whats he crying about? Rod Woodson should of been rated higher than him

  • @NenoBrown24 I agree

  • @NenoBrown24 he could tackle shit head look at the stats

  • Prime Time? More like Prissy Time what with his "business decisions" and what not. The guy should have been rated in the 70-80's.

  • @theMadH8r how can you say that. he is PRIME TIME

  • Love primetime, curious though. How many people that say he was never thrown at watched him play and remember watching him through full seasons. I have recently watched the '94 niners season where he got defensive MVP. He was amazing, but like any CB, he gave up completions and long TD's. He lessened activity, significantly, on his side of the field, but in none of the '94 games did he completely "shut it down". He was a darn good football player, not a God.

  • they say rice is #1 because there is no debate he is the best wr ever, which he is, and i'm not trying to take anything away from rice, but is there any debate that deion is the best cover corner ever? IS THERE? therefore, deion should be #1 or 2 according to this list

  • @poewnbiusa Prime is the best cover CB, but not the best CB imo. Rod Woodson, and Night trian I think were better all around CB (they could play the run as well as most LBs). Woodson, also, could cover nearly as well as prime.

  • @poewnbiusa i like dieon but mel blount was better he was a complete corner and he wasnt even on the list

  • Sanders is #3 defensive player all time for me.

Only Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White dominating their position as well as him.

    Maybe Dick Butkus.

they should have top 100 offense and top 100 defense.

    More fair.

  • Thumps up if you thought he said analist

  • It's true, if you're going to have a "Best All-Time" team, Deion is the first player you pick on the defensive side of the ball. (Well, MAYBE behind Lawrence Taylor, but that's arguable) The dude completely shut down half of the field just by stepping on the grass.

  • @Galactic123 what u mean arguable behind LT. Deion doesnt come close to LT.

  • This wasn't the first time that Sanders didn't understand something.

  • @ThemBones24 but woodson could not return kickoffs and punts better than deion he could not cover as well as deion and he could not catch like deion hell deion had such great hands when the cowboys hall of fame wideout got hurt they put him in his place and he still dominated what pro corner do you know who could play wide out and be above average oh and woodson could not bat like deion

  • You could make a case that Rod Woodson was the all around better corner because he tackled better and played longer.

  • He should be in the top 3

  • @sixfeetontop u sound crazy.

  • Lets just do it this way..THUMBS UP FOR DEION IN TOP 10!!

  • deion shouldnt be 34...

  • 67 offensive players in the Top 100.. yea right??? In every generation in every era their have been offensive players that come around that would be able to dominate in any era of football before them.... In all of those past eras how many cornerbacks have ever dominated like Deion Sanders... Not many if not any... Deion was a once in a millennium type of talent that we haven't even seen repeated since.... At least Top 10 but he's Top 5 in my book...

  • Everybody seems to forget that he was not only one of the greatest defensive backs, but returners as well. AND he played offense! Nobody else has played that much of a game, and nobody else will. He was on the field some games almost Every. Single. Play!

  • Top 10 if he could fucking tackle.

  • @funkyshizzle No... Top 10 Period!!! What you mean if he could tackle??? Check his damn highlight tapes... He didn't play safety he played cornerback... A cornerbacks job is to cover the receiver and prevent them from scoring... Tackling in run support is secondary and he still did that well....

  • @twin0430274 FINALLY,Somebody commenting that has a CLUE about the game!

  • I know some people have problems with cocky people, but I completely agree with Prime Time. I think he definitely should have been in the top ten. He's the only cornerback that I can remember who had opposing quarterbacks ordered not to throw the ball his way. He was the only cornerback who could shut down the great Jerry Rice in his prime. He also shut down Michael Irving and a hand full of other great wideouts. I think placing him at #34 is an insult.

  • Prime Time will always be one of the great d backs in history, but I gotta say: I would have put Woodson higher than him. You can't understate the improvement that he, alone, brought to any team he played for, despite age and health.

  • dissing deion for not making enough tackles is like dissing young MJ for going to the rim too much and becoming a jump shooter later on in his career. deion was so athletic and quick, he didnt HAVE to tackle. a pick is 1000x than any tackle outside a td saving one and we all know how many picks he had (even though qbs were afraid to throw to his side of the field)

  • Rich is having the time of his life :D

  • Deion shouldve made more tackles...

  • not enough interceptions - 53 over a 14 year career. not even 4 per year. lame.

  • @upperslobodia Revis didn't get a single INT last year. Why, because he was poor or because teams didn't throw it at him?

  • @prezofawesome Good point. Darrelle Revis still played great coverage. But Deion Sanders needed to make more tackles...

  • @upperslobodia hard to get picks when QB's don't throw to you

  • @upperslobodia Are you stupid, son?

How is he supposed to get more INT's when teams NEVER threw to his side? Everyone on planet earth knew who Deion Sanders was and what he was capable of. Nobody wanted to throw his way.

There's no statistic for "dominating so much that nobody will throw at me"....... and then you had teams kicking the ball out of bounds simply because Deion was such a threat.

  • And idk why Deion keeps on saying "what team needs 19 quarterbacks?" this isnt supposed to be a team, its the top 100 players of all time wtf is he talking about??? if this was supposed to be a team im sure he and night train lane would be the starters. BUT ITS NOT

  • Rod Woodson kind of looks like Lou Diamond Philips lol

  • If I picked on player as a top choice 1# Deion Sanders no doubt 2# Lawrence Taylor . I remember that Pro bowl race between Woodson and Deion ....Woodson had a big lead and Deion blew past him like he was standing there.

  • There hasn't been a wide reciever born that Deion wouldn't slow down. If both in their prime, Randy Moss would be highly frustrated most of the time. Yes he'd make catches and probably score at times. Revis usually slowed Randy down to a crawl and Revis has nothing close to Sanders talent. Deion is the best corner to ever play. Rod Woodson may be the best defensive back but corner is all Deion.

  • @Wuddymaters13 Revis couldn't touch Randy when he was in his prime. Sanders vs Moss would've been great to see

  • @SDupe44 you can doubt his character all you want, but Michael Irvin said he was one of the greatest teammates he ever had. He wasn't in it for himself, if you truly believe that, you're ignorant as hell. Deion was a flashy, self-promoting genius, maybe even arrogant.. but he was always in it to win it and any player would love to have him on their team.

  • This was funny as hell

  • Maybe if he tackled, he would have been a little higher.

  • @QBDogKiller AGREED!

  • And Randy Moss would have burned Primetime so he should be higher than #65 this list is weird.

  • @mpj32587 yeah.. as much as I love Moss in his prime (I think he could be a top 3 greatest receiver of all time in his prime), there was no way in hell he would "burn" Primetime.. NO ONE "burned" primetime. Jerry Rice struggled against him and he's clearly the greatest receiver, possibly player of all time. So, I disagree with u sir.

  • @LaPalaDiN Well Moss was pretty much just as fast and was taller and could jump higher than Deion too. Idk its hard to say but i think if you could go back in time and match up Moss and Deion both in their primes I think Moss would be able to get the best of him most of the time, but Neon Deion would make his plays too.

  • lmao, "that don't make this no better!" can't argue with his points. 19 quarterbacks? what a load. guarantee you when coaches make their picks out of this list, deion is gone in the top 5.

you can tell woodson and the other dude are embarrassed by deion's argument.

  • he really is highly pissed

  • Deion, top 2 corners of all time outside of dick night train lane, he should have been higher.

  • dions top 10 hands down.

  • kurt warner and michael irvin should be higher!!!

  • this glitchy interview is driving me nuts.

  • Primetime should of been higher but they need a list like this for NBA so i can see where they place M. Jordan since they put Primetime at 34

  • He shouldn't be in the top ten. First of all, he wasn't even the greatest defensive back of all-time. Ronnie Lot and Night Train Lane were both, definitely better (I personally think Mel Blount was better too). Second, there are a number of other defensive players who were better players than him (Deacon Jones, Dick Butkus, Reggie White, Joe Green). And that's all without offensive players! I think where he is on the list is fine. He was a great player, but not top ten.

  • @lukebecomingfire Maybe not top 10, but he definitely should be higher than 34.

What he says is true. Nobody throws to Deion's side for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd down, then on 4th down they punt kick away from Deion. This is how he played year in and year out. Seriously too low on the list.

  • @lukebecomingfire oh. and Deion is most certainly the greatest CB of all time.

  • @lukebecomingfire I'm 99% sure that if today's coaches were to have a defensive draft of every player in history, Deion would be top 10. Probably top 5. Night Train Lane is the only DB who could touch PrimeTime's swag and I'm pretty sure there's a lot of coaches who love them defensive backs.

  • @SynysterBeast24 What about Ronnie Lott? He was probably the greatest defensive back of all-time. I think the top five chosen in a draft (In no particular order) would be Lawrence Taylor, Dick Butkus, Reggie White, Deacon Jones and Ronnie Lott. After that would be Mean Joe Green, Night Train Lane, Jack Ham, Bob Lilly and Jack Lambert. All ten of those guys were better overall defenders than Dion Sanders. And I still say Mel Blount was a better corner than Sanders.

  • @lukebecomingfire Half of those players couldn't play in the NFL today.

  • @SynysterBeast24 You do realize that half those players ended up causing rule changes that make it so difficult for defenders today? Mel Blount was so good and hitting receivers off the line that the NFL had to make the 5 yards of contact rule. Deacon Jones is the reason the head slap is no longer allowed. Those players would dominate if they were in the NFL today.

  • @lukebecomingfire You do realize that Night Train Lane's facemasks and Mel Blount's pass intereferences would keep them off the field, right? If you think grabbing facemasks so you can avoid a real tackle or slapping the helmet to avoid getting around them while they're attentive, makes a player amazing then there's something wrong. Today's NFL players are different than the NFL's players 40 years ago. They're (often) bigger and faster than the ones that played back then. "Dominate" lol.

  • @SynysterBeast24 Both Night Train Lane was still able to dominate when he wasn't facemasking and Mel Blount was able to dominate after the NFL but the 5 yards of contact rule in. No one's yet broken Night Train Lane's record for interceptions in a single season. And about players being bigger and faster today, Mel Blount ran a 4.5 40. That's right up with today's best cornerbacks.

  • @lukebecomingfire Darrelle Revis, Deion Sanders, Champ Bailey...these backs didn't get thrown to. That's why they're not racking up huge numbers. (Coming out of college) Randy Moss -4.29, Deion Sanders-4.2something, Champ Bailey-4.28, Desean Jackson-4.35, Antonio Cromartie-4.29, Brandon Flowers-4.43. Revis states he never ran a 40.

Those are just some players who are faster. Add on the schemes and techniques, there's no way Night Train or Blount could play.

  • @lukebecomingfire people put too much emphasis on the 40 anyways.. Jerry Rice ran a 4.6, you ever see him get caught? Did he ever have a hard time getting open? I'm with you, older players could still play this game. They may not be as good as they were, but the fact is, they're football players and they understand the game. So sick of all of these cockriders jumping on the bandwagon because a player had a good combine. Learn the game of football and watch these athletes do their thing.

  • @SynysterBeast24 idiot

  • @LaPalaDiN u mad?

  • He's right.

This is way too damn low.

  • Deion, 22+11 is 33 so you aint playing everywhere

  • @MiamiUgotSWAG there is more than 1 special teams unit (so hush).. it's not like teams actually play with 33 players.. punt team, kick off, kick return, punt return, field goal, field goal block.. good try, but you're dumb

  • that list is wack !!!!!

  • prime timeee. shud be in top 10

  • "Primetime is here."

  • Top 10

  • Deion is fucking awesome.

  • And anyone hatin on his cockiness is real petty. Everyone is cocky about one thing or another in their life and most time there not even that goods at it. He's one of the only sports figures ever to live up to all the hype they were given coming outta college or high school.... would u rather him speak his mind or give that boring ass politically correct answer that everyone gives but never means?

  • Gotta love a man who always speaks his mind rather u agree with what he's sayin or not. I gotta agree wit prime tho 34 is ridiculous. I don't kno about top 10 but deff top 20. To have 53 picks when u probably only get 3 balls a game thrown ur way is insane. And like he said on 4th down when u had to punt it to him they kickd it outta bounds 9 outta 10 ten times. Deff the scariest defensive player of all time with the ball in his hands. He was a pretty good WR too. Might be top 10 idk

  • He's right, 34 is an insult

  • Hate him all you want but the man is right. Some of the best highlights of Deion are badly force incompletions to the other side of the field, because QBs wouldn't even look at the half he lined up on. He's not a player you can measure with numbers and history tends to forget those guys, he should have been much, much higher with a voting panel of this generation who actually saw his greatness in person.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with Deion,who the hell is infront of him honestly,this is a joke,Deoin,is a top 5 guy,number 34,give me a fucken break.

  • What a DB...he deserves #99...if he was "that" good why did he play for all those different teams? If he was "that" good, he would've played for one team and one team only! His reaction and response proves that he has never been about anyone but Deion...

  • @iamtheoneandonlyduck hahah by that responce jerry rice ant good cause he played for 4 teams emmitt played for 2 johnny u played for 2 so saying he wasnt good cause he played for 4 teams is stuiped this ant the 70s theres a thing cause a saluary cap that all teams have so its rare for anybody to stay with one team

  • straight up, great player, but way too cocky for my liking.

  • He's not even the best CB ever...that honor goes to Darrell Green or Willie Brown. I can think of 15 defensive players better than Sanders...Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Decon Jones, Dick Butkis, Ronnie Lott, Jack Hamm, Jack Lambert, Rod Woodson, Mike Singletary, Ray Lewis, Dick Lane, D Green, W Brown, Leroy Selmon, Joe Green. Deion should learn how to tackle before considering himself top ten material.

  • Whats wrong with cocky people? As long as they can back it up they finr

  • always was and still is an arrogant self serving piece of trash

  • Lets get one thing straight if there was gonna be a corner in the top ten of greatest players of all time, it wouldnt be deion it would be dick nighttrian lane or the very man talking to him rod woodson, and stop calling deion sanders the greatest corner of all time because that he is not.

  • @mrdta97 why not call deion the greatest corner of all time

  • @birdjesus21 because its not true, dick lane, dick lebau, and rod woodson are all better he avoided tackling to extend his career and rod woodson who did hit people played longer and had more picks he was god at covering people and probably the most versatile player ever but not the gretest corner top ten possibly.

  • @mrdta97 So What are you trying to say? where are u categorizing him when u make the statement "prime didn't tackle" cuz I'm not gettin where u goin with your comment. are u saying the fact that he didn't tackle his not elite/ hall of famer? Or you just saying he should have been a tackling machine like most safeties?

  • @birdjesus21 no, i understand why he didnt tackl he wasnt trying to get injured so he could extend his carreer i get that but for someone who tried to ensure he could play longer and only played one aspect of the position he dosent have as much production as players who did so he cant be the the greatest corner who ever played he was great at what he did but dick lane was a fearless hitter who covered everybody and had more interceptions during the days when the biggest weapons were fullbacks.

  • @mrdta97 You don't seem to get it.

I watched Deion play for all of his career.

NOBODY THREW TO HIS SIDE. He would have much more INT's if they did. You can't measure that in numbers.

  • There should be a man with the name Sanders in the top ten but his name isn't Deion.

  • TOP TEN! thats is it, that is all!

  • this why even yankee fans hate "primetime" can't wait for darrelle revis to become the best cornerback of all time so deion will shut his mouth

  • Why are they laughing at him when he says "In the top 10'? He should be that's no fucking laughing matter

  • @frogblunt cause he is full of shit, that is why.!

  • @frogblunt You ask why they are laughing when he says he should be in the top 10, well why don't you take a look at the top 10 first, and you will get your answer. Would you replace Deion with guys like Walter Payton, LT, Peyton Manning, Jerry Rice etc? Hell no. Deion was a great player, but when you look at the guys in the top 10, any logical person would quickly realize why those guys are there and he isn't. Stop all of the hype, you're just propelling his ego even more.

  • @crx122 LT should NOT be in the top 10 shit top 100 for that..prime should for sure be in the top 20 for sure

  • @ballaholic320 How in the world can you say Lawrence Taylor, the most disruptive defensive player in NFL history, who revolutionized offensive blocking schemes, doesn't deserve to be in the top 20? You're absolutely insane, he is widely considered the best defensive player in history by most reputable NFL sources out there. Deion was a great cover corner, but there have been other corners who covered great, but actually tackled as well. Give me Mike Haynes over Deion any day of the week.

  • @crx122 I always liked Rod Woodson. That dude was basically a deion that could hit hard.

  • @ElSharkwalker Yes, he never shyed away from tackling, not to mention he was as versatile as they come. He played all positions in the secondary and returned kicks.

  • @crx122 as this is my mistake and i totally agree with what you wrote except not taking Deion. I thought it Ladainian Tomlinson terrible mistake on my part. Sorry

  • Comment removed

  • @ballaholic320 Haha no, LT is Lawrence Taylor all the way. I can't believe people calld Landanian that and started referring to him as LT. When you have a legend, you don't give their nickname to someone else. I think to all of us who really love Football, there is only ONE LT, and that's LAWRENCE TAYLOR! However it's sad seeing Ladanian as just a 3rd down back with such little gas left in the tank now :( Running backs sure don't last long in their prime, 3-5 years in prime average, it's sad :(

  • @crx122 yeah, I'll take Deion over Haynes.. but anyone arguing against LT being high in this list are high themselves. He completely changed the face of the outside linebacker and, like you said, revolutionized blocking schemes. Not many players can say they completely changed the way the game is played.

  • "Daddy's supposed to be in the top ten."

    Haha that's my man

  • thanks for the upload ive been looking for this for a while

  • Payton is good , and so is Elway , but they have the luxury of having an excuse they're team didn't do it's job . Deion is a shut down corner who can't look to anyone but himself And say either I make this play or touchdown. Don't be jealous of his God given ability to think and physical superior skillset to others on this mock list you've , assembled to penalize the great ones.

  • Deion would shut down Swan , Raymond Barry, Lance Allworth, Moss, whoever. This man played the # 1 player on you're list mono e mono. And held his own and won most of the battles, his team sucked that's why he did so much more for them.

  • @pmpthroback he couldnt hold jerry and he admitted it

  • @thug8200 Please link me to where Deion Sanders said he couldn't cover Jerry Rice. You see, I know logically speaking that he couldn't, but Deion Sanders has way too much of an inflated ego to ever say something like that. All you will ever hear from him is talking about how he is the best ever, so I want to see your source where Deion said "he couldn't hold Jerry." I've seen plenty of Deion to know that he wouldn't say anything that doesn't add to his overinflated ego.

  • @crx122 Start on the nfl.com videos. There are 2 or 3 where Sanders went as far as to say he had nightmares the nights before he played Rice. My cpu isn't reading the video format atm on nfl.com so I can't give even a title for which do and don't have it, but I do know if you go there you will find videos with relative ease if you really are interested in seeing them.

  • @ElSharkwalker I was unable to find the videos. I did look, but on top of that I have seen MOST of those kinds of videos, I'm a big NFL video buff. I have heard Deion say Rice was a nightmare to cover, and that he had to study and practice extra hard when he went against him. However, that is COMPLETELY different than Deion flat out saying "I couldn't hold Jerry," or "I couldn't cover Rice." I don't think Deion would ever say he flat out couldn't cover any WR, although I know Rice is better.

  • @crx122 fair enough. It is clear to me that both of them have a great respect for each other. Even in this video when Sanders starts counting off players w/ his fingers, he puts Rice at number one. The sad reality is they hardly ever lined up on each other. The only time it happened was one game in '93. Rice had over 100 yards that game and Sanders had 2 picks.

  • @ElSharkwalker Well you ARE correct in saying Sanders couldn't cover Rice, I'm just saying Deion is not humble enough to admit it. He has gotten better since his playing days, but he would never admit someone was better than him. I don't think ANY CB in history could have covered Jerry in his prime, he was such a great route runner that it would be nearly impossible to not make a mistake at some point. He was just as great at taking short passes for big gains too, so that's impossible to beat.

  • @pmpthroback I have every game on dvd that Rice played w/ Sanders bud. I hate to tell ya this, but they only lined up one on one every play in one game in '93. Rice had around 11 catched for over 100 yards (not sure those are the exact stats, but they are close). If Sanders can win on Rice, why did he not ever line up on him before or after that game?

  • I thought for sure he was top 15, AT LEAST... He was a special player.

  • top 5 in my book. hes one of da reasons i watch football on sundays... PRIME TIME! PRIME TIME

  • HES RIGHT
