  • I like the animation but the battle scene was rubbish. Sorry. Tanks just don't sit and wait to be blasted. I think I'd have enjoyed it better if the entire battle had been handled in a bit more realstic way. The German Spider Tank is obviously slow and ponderous and Shermans were fairly agile. You might want to consult some military historians or even present day infantrymen and tank men on this. Great concept though and the acting was actually well done.

  • Yeah that's it, shoot small arms at the giant steel nazi spider.. they probably made it from canvas and twigs anyway. 3:20 woops backblast! no worries, I'm immune!

Come on guys.. How do we kill a spider?

    Giant newspaper Sir!?!

Good one, but not what I had in mind... I meant the FUN way to kill a spider.

    Ooooh right, get the flame-thrower!

    That's it private! ;D

  • That was pretty good, good animation, ok acting. For a budget film, superb!

  • Very cool. I would love to see more like this

  • cool

  • whats wrong with wheels?

  • “Fist platoon forward” sorry and how did he get to be the CO?

  • is this an actual movie?where can i watch it?

  • excelent work Ryan, congratulations !!, I m a RC model builder (planes), and I havent even noted that these tanks were RC models !!, good job !

  • ein paar mehr davon und wir hätten europa überrannt !

  • @KopKranker

Aber wie würde Europa dann aussehen?

Also ich hätte gern noch die Ratte gesehen, wie sie hinten aus dem dickicht kommt.

  • FUNNY

    :D :D :D

  • See, the Germans could have won the war if they hadn't spent all their money on CGI.

  • Lol It looks like the very first Metal Gear robot.lol

  • Cool, the germans win in a battle against America. Because apparently they suk at fighting and like to run Suicide missions. And American tanks are somehow portable nuclear launchers and their soldiers are invincible. It's about time thier tanks got melted!

  • Now watch part 2 where Baron Von Springenverks War machine gets blown to perdition by a flight of B-29s.

  • Hello people this is make believe enjoy it for what it is.

  • the nazis had contact with the galactic empire xDD the empire gave them the pre-building-plans of the at-ats xD

  • Impressive! Well made! :)

  • I like this , little bit unreal , maks it more exciting.Nice!

  • Well done, but I thought the ray gun was a bit much. Nazi Germany was advanced enough for their time without that nonsense. The timing was a bit too forced on some deliveries of the dialogue. I also agree with RobotN001, that perhaps a little more research could have gone into this work. A great movie does not ride on special effects.

  • @Anthrolithos If I was trying to make a realistic portrayal of WWII battle tactics, I'd be inclined to agree with you. But this is nothing more than a comic book movie. If you want realism, watch the History Channel.

  • @ryannagata Well put, but I was just offering constructive criticism in general, not necessarily just about the tactics. I have no idea what your intentions were with this work, or where you intend to go in the future with films. I was just trying to get you into a discussion so that you can avoid being relegated to the status of "campy b-movie director", if it is indeed your goal to be a director one day.

  • @Anthrolithos Do you consider "Captain America" a campy b-movie?

  • @ryannagata Yes I do. The very concept of Captain America is very campy. I mean, regardless of the money people throw at it, it is still cheap entertainment.

  • @Anthrolithos You don't understand what camp is then. John Waters is camp. The 60's Batman TV show is camp. Just because something isn't grounded enough in reality for your taste doesn't mean it's camp.

  • @ryannagata Dude, I MAJORED in film studies in college. My teacher told me the key elements of camp are: Frivolity, Ostentation, Exaggeration, and Excess enough to create a cult following. It turns the tacky and vulgar into something "valid". QED: comic books (and all subsidiary media associated to them), and your short film count as camp.

  • @ryannagata Realism and "History Channel" aren't exactly hand in hand these days.

  • @nelson3300 Haha. True!

  • @Anthrolithos actually the japanese had begun work on a so-called death ray by 1945.ironically they deverted funds from theyre atomic weapons project to develope the death ray instead.needless to say the death-ray project was never completed but had they been able to complete it, no doubt the nazis would have adopted it into theyre arsonel.so even though its a stretch i find it believable that the nazis might have actually built this thing had things turned out differently

  • @ciscokidseven Mmh. I have no idea if what you're saying is true, but the Japanese and the Nazis were *allies*, not friends. Even if the Japanese had developed this Death Ray tech, there is no guarantee that they would have shared it with the Third Reich. I'm sure the Japanese were well aware of the racial proclivities of Hitler and kept him at arms length.

  • where is the Vril and Hanebau???

  • 2:44,seriously,throwing a grenade!!!:\

  • i wish this is a full movie :(

  • this is interesting!!!:)

  • id watch it if the grapics were better and mor realilistic division names

  • @maniacmanist It's intentionally a fictional infantry division. I didn't want to make a silly sci-fi movie using a real division.

  • I applaud this. It shows creativity and skill. As an old school FX guy myself the fact that you used models rather than CGI deserves a cooddos.

  • That was quite superb mate :D First class

  • This is on a different scientific aspect, but if Hitler had been assassinated early on, there were scientists and generals just waiting to unleash mass production of weapons that could have made a huge difference. They had jet powered fighters built as prototypes that could easily outrun any of the allied planes. They had rockets that were being upgraded, and they were closer to an A-bomb then the US. His generals were opposed to the Russian campaign, they knew they needed to protect the coast.

  • no... please... just say no.

  • then the Enterprise NX-01 comes down, kills that fag-zer tank and restores the timeline :)

  • LOL 1:02 No Sir You Have To See... NOW THAT is a serious face

  • @ ryannagata - did u get the idea for the german spider tank from sup com ? :P AWESOME FUCKING MOVIE - how did u do this ?!?!?! im a student film maker and im amazed , what was the budget ???

  • loooooooooooooooool :D only americans can have that kind of imagination spider tanks right... why not... your not vunrable from any direction like that...

  • This is soo much better than most of the shit films on the sci fi channel =D Whoever made the mini vehicle models is a badass.

  • Why are they not fireing into the 3 foot wide gap the german guy is looking out of?

  • to good to to true

  • Very impressive work!! I agree with Kellythesinger, in that I'd like to see this made into a full length movie too. It doesn't have to be 2 hours long, (though that would be cool). It can be either a "Short" or a "What if" type of story.

    Love the vehicle models too.

  • Epic sauce.

  • Where can I get this film?

  • @MrDigitusmedius It's not a DVD release.

  • @Eshayzbra96 Damn... :( Thank you for the answer!! :)

  • As a low budget concept and of course Nazi's with sci fi weapons, I love it. And you had David Clennon as the General! The Best.

As a real (not hater) critique, the viewport window of the mech is way too big. I know you need to show the actor and has to be big but look at Panzer designs and they would be narrower and when the fighting started, it would have been closed and the officer would be looking through the slit. The bazooka & 50 Cal. easily could have put rounds through that open hatch.

  • Superbly made considering the tiny budget. Nice work!

  • Very very cool. can you develop a story line and get some backing to make it a feature lenth film or what?

  • The story line well maybe not the greatest understandable that you only have a few minutes. But the special effects were of a high production quality and authenticity of uniforms and equipment was very well done. I have watched made for sci fi movies that were not half a good.

  • This is actually really cool. I like the details on the Nazi walker and the models work great overall. My personal favorite was the flamethrower. I'd like to see more of this stuff!

  • A Nazi mech, lol.

  • Very entertaining! I enjoyed this thoroughly!

  • Come on, haters, let's see you do one better on a shoestring budget. It's a film experiment aimed at seeing what can be done without the funds for commercial class CGI. I like it and encourage Mr. Nagata to keep at it. This is how film technique changes in ways allowing for a greater creative output across the board. Kudos!

  • "First platoon forward!" are you serious?

  • @turkanator123 haha exactly what i thought

  • Well done!

  • Hey that was fun! Good job!!!

  • Ok ok. after u raise budget u should be hire some infantry officer for consulting

  • @RobotN001 How about I hire you to insult me in broken English?

  • Wow, nice job on blending the 1/6 in with the real stuff. Only thing I don't understand, is why you have the figures in the M5 sitting out with the hatch open...why would they do that if they're in a combat zone?

    But hey, amazing work.

  • Looks better than any CGI I've ever seen! Awesome! I would definitely pay money to see a motion picture version of this...you should go for it!

  • Knock out it's legs...

  • holy shit

  • awesome dude!

  • Where's Captain America??!!

  • Great Weird WWII! Look forward to seeing how that thing would fare against 'ol Cap or Sgt. Rock though!

    Great stuff,

    Brian

  • Great. Happy to see the nazis winning the war.

  • Lol, some slow moving mechs are a threat to allies? Air support ftw!

  • Nice movie. Perhaps you can complete it some day. good luck!

  • Wow! That's one AWESOME short!

    Inspiration for all of us!

  • This was great, outstanding for a low-budget. Very impressed with the actors, directing, and models.

  • Im waiting for the full movie :)

  • Cool!

  • This is actually pretty good. It's very retro-y.

  • I don't remember Gerry Anderson being a Nazi...

  • War of the world #2

  • чё за хрень????

  • Wow, I really could see this as a t.v. show, it was great I really enjoyed it.

  • Amazing. You have just accomplished on your very small budget what I think many of us wish big-budget movies could accomplish. Excellent.

  • Too bad allied forces didn't have T-47s with harpoons and tow cables

  • This was real good, you are very talentet, and keep up the good work.

  • @ryannagata You sir , have real talent!

  • awesome, this would have been a great feature film.

  • great made, could be a fun movie :P

  • YES love this vid.

  • never see so stupid film =) LOL

  • @RobotN001 I'm keeping this comment. You've got balls, man.

  • @RobotN001 Personally, I'd hesitate to make such a strongly worded critique in a language I had zero mastery of. But that didn't stop you!

  • @ryannagata Speaking of Nazis, did you just end your sentence with a preposition? lolz.

  • @RobotN001 hahaha

  • Very nicely done, I love small independent films like this. I wish it was longer.

  • Looks like the Allies NEED MOAR DAKKA!

  • I said the words "What in God's name?" before he did ^^

  • Well done! Cheers from Dallas! :-)

  • @ 1:15 What the hell?

    Starwars?

  • Wait till Peter Pan and Wendy Darling's daughter, Jane from the WWII story"Return to Neverland", hears about this, they'll be agast!

  • This is not a real movie, right?

  • Mind Blowing !!!

  • QUICK! Somebody call Jimmy Patterson!

  • awesome work, very impressive! wish hollywood would make a full length movie about this.

  • I´m German, I´m an engineer, and this is so hilarious ;P

  • @johorridoh I am Mexican and I am NOT an engineer and this is soo hilarious ;)

  • Good job on the short Film...really good work on it

  • You DO NOT fight tanks with machine guns, period.

  • @33Artur333 Depends on the tank and the machine gun. If I'm going to pick a big flaw out of this movie, it is the lack of infantry support for the "spider". Too many ways a vehicle can get disabled if you let the enemy grunts get too close.

  • Splendid stuff. I thought the tanks were from a re enactment society rather than models. Only week point for me was the German commander position. Need tank periscopes. Great work.

  • so a 37mm poxy m3 stuart pop gun can hurt it but a fucking heat bazooka has no effect - cunt shit!

  • ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CINEMA-SHORT- FILM.

WHEN WILL YOU BE SELLING THE 2HR. VERSION ON DVD?

I WILL DEFINITELY, BUY A COPY! ALL THE BEST, TEHUNZU.

  • Nazi Super Science

For when regular super science is just not evil enough.

  • GOOD that we dont had these things...

  • Excellent done! Love it. Just the german officer needs to learn how to speak german *g*

  • impressive, very, you need to meet a somebody in film prduction hollywood and let us see your feature length daybeu(im dislexic for any of you rightess cun#s!) being in film production, i can appreciate how much work went into that and i wish ye all the luck cause ye have the skill, nice on

  • wow

  • well done that man someone give him a hollywood sized butget asap

  • Hey why not mixing up Star Wars with WW2?

Darth Vader´s Stoormtoopers vs. Wehrmacht :D

  • @Batner112 so you wanna see fighting evil vs evil? O.o

  • this is better than the wild wild west spider scene (lol)

  • i would aim for the commander looking out of the view hole.

  • This was actually pretty awesome! The effects weren't CGI (which I like; models are much better than CGI in my opinion), but they were pretty effective. One little nitpick: the shoulder boards on the German weren't correct.

  • reakky cool!. only problem is that I really don't see how anti tank weapons didn't work. unless that thing was a lot bigger than it looked.

  • After the "Spider" tank, the "Maus" & "Rat" tanks were in reserve!!!!

  • the spider tank reminds me of Scarabs from HALO series...

  • with those last shots he killed the Nazi spider and saved everyone

  • Excellent job: realistic, fwell acted and worth watching. Congratulations!

  • I HATE CGI. Despite how useful it has become, it is quickly becoming overused in many aspects that are not even perfected as of yet. You can easily tell what is CGI and what is actually crafted. It just makes one wonder, "Why don't they just make the entire thing via CGI?" Not everything has to be in front of green screen.

Amazing work combining the models with superb visual effects!

  • This was AWESOME. Appreciated, we need more sc-fi pulp of this caliber!

  • esta muy bien

  • AWESOME VIDEO!!! :DDD GREAT WORK!!

  • Great job, an excellent video!

  • THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING!!! im begging you to make a full movie about it. dont cut corners like those crappy low budget scifi movies do, keep your animation exactly as is. this is brilliant! the best thing is that the nazis were very close to this kinda stuff.

  • This could work as a comedy but not as a drama. There is only so much sillyness the human mind can absorb. Why not give the Nazis light Sabers while you're at it.

  • @jujufactory Yeah I said those verysame words when Western troops went and said oh we kick Talibans ass and when Israeli troops saying we' ll wipe out the hezbollah in lebanon...the result US troops got their asses whipped by the Taliban and Israel got their underwear in a twist betewwn thier legs running around... still crying to this day.

  • lol

  • a giant 4 leged tank? text-book of a mech

  • I love it!

  • for chuck norris this is a normal armored spider car:D

now i know a chuck norrist joke cant get any thumbs upp.

  • if someone knows the title of this movie then please give

  • That thing is what Murphy would have called a bomb magnet

  • This is just awsome =D

I love this type of movies =D Stopmotionish ^^ no silly CGI

  • @grahwo

Well, by cgi I mean the robot =P It looks assume ^^

  • Well done. An exceptional piece of art.

  • Vorsprung Durch Technik - "I can't understand vhy ve lost der VAr"?

  • The germans had some incredible military technology, atleast they got the right idea on that, and this is a sweet film :O!

  • Comment removed

  • that was cool. glad you left out the ewoks.

  • Im amazed. Its REALLY good, unlike 99.9% of YT shorts.

  • Hard to believe those were scale model tanks, they looked so real!

  • DAMN NAZIS YOU SCARY!

  • should make a full movie of this

  • any way this looks like a homemade movie!

  • uf tgat that existed in real live.... i would buy one and blow my school upp:D

  • whats that? TIGGGGEEEERTAAAANK! no WORSE! SPIIIIIIIIDDDEEEER TAAAANK!

  • This had better effects than the Mutant Chronicles movie. I'd like to see more of this! Bravo!

  • 4:33

FULL WORLD AT WAR MODE; GO

  • Dude, you do realize this can turn into a full length movie and kick some serious arse in the cinema right? I'd gladly pay to watch, well done!

  • so i guess a nazi of our time travel back and deliver nazis techonology)

  • Excellent job with editing and special effects. I like the use of models (good old school stuff). Still the film could use a better script - GIs shooting a tank with rifles and machine guns (inc. Captain with its trusty .45)? Perhaps it could do better as some tongue and cheek stuff. No Nazi superweapon could not turn the tide of the war in 1945, just stall the inevitable - Russians were knocking at Berlin's gates at that time. Anyway it's still a great vid :) Thanks for posting!

  • IR Impressed

  • OMG!! its a battlemech straight out of mechwarrior.

  • Excellently done (ESPECIALLY for a small budget!) There was only (maybe) 1 cheesy line and/or shot. Otherwise, F%$#ing BRAVO.

The effects (special and otherwise) were very professionally done and very believable; and not too over-the-top or over-done.

Subtitles for the German officer's lines might add a touch; but, there really isn't anything that could make this better (cæteris paribus.)

Cinematography/Director's camera angle, et cætera -- all choice!

    Outstanding!!

  • This is a great opener for a spy adventure type movie: or a great opener for a G.I. robot movie. If you don't what G.I. robot is goto DC Comics website and find out he's cool.

  • more!

  • is this a real movie because it looks cool

  • Awesome. I was sad to realize it wasn't an actual movie.

  • DUDE, I fucking CALLED that he was going to say "What in god name?" AWESOME

  • Excellent work Ryan, imagine if you had a real budget, oh what fun you would have. I love the story line, yes an alternative to the end of 1945 with Hitler bringing out the big gun projects...but wait a min, he already did it, the flying bomb, the V1 and V2 rockets, ufo's, and a stealth bomber. Heck he nearly had an A-bomb ready to put into the new super fast stealth bomber and aimed at N.Y.
