Thank you for this nice video. I am considering traveling by bicycle. One question: How do you prevent your stuff from being stolen whenever, let's say, you want to take a walk, or swim and need to leave your stuff behind? (Though I suspect Hokkaido may be a very safe and friendly place)

by the time when you were traveling hokkaido, i was there too. i did train-travel all the way from Hiroshima to Soya Misaki. this was so great and it made me smile when i thought about this. i also believe hokkaido is one of the best places to travel in the world. You created a awesome video with nice photos and a great story. (sorry for your loss, Jim) Thank you.

i've been to japan like 3 times know and i really wanna make a similar journey through Honshu and the ''countryside'' in particular. Great inspiration and a nice vid!!

Stop complaining and make a video. So you did a 3600 km bike ride. Wow, you are great. Stop your whining and create a story if you are capable. I created this so create your own damn story you whining baby!!!

Great story. Sorry to hear that your mother passed away...she was beautiful.I will keep doing my research and if anything comes up you will be the first to hear lol. I might invite my bf along because he is the only person that I ever had fun biking with. Before being aware of touring, I always rode my mamichari bike around on the weekends with him. That was our idea of fun so maybe we are cut out for touring. I am a bit wary of touring alone but if i have to, i will. It will be my journey.
