  • Aaron Burr would have been the Greatest President in this nation's history.

  • Aaron Burr

    - was the greatest traitor of the USA,

    - was a spy of the British Empire

The British Empire (by means of the oligarchical monetary system) is now finishing its job in destroying the USA. The British Empire will rule over the USA (once government defaults, JPMorgan will rule over the USA) if the Americans don't wake up.

  • Aaron Burr was a gentleman, it was his downfall when dealing with the likes of the treacherous Jefferson and the unsavoury Hamillton.

  • @LowBid86 thomas jefferson was a snake, even if one chooses not to believe the evidence regarding sally hemings, jefferson was totally untrustworthy and a show pony---think of gumby, but stoned. and yet he has the best reputation for his ability to propagate; go figure.

  • thanks so much for the post.

  • Gore Vidal is crackpot. He is a seriously disturbed man.

  • @tomthefunky Gore Vidal is a brilliant guy,a historian, and knows more about history than you could in learn in 10 lifetimes. STFU!!

  • @mrbrianmccarthy: The amount of history one knows does not make you a decent human being. "Any man that hates America, hates himself"- Brendan Behan.

  • @tomthefunky If you criticize America, itdoesnt mean you hate it.Gore Vidal doesnt hate america---he wants America to live up to its promise. The true patriot holds the bureaucrats feet to the fire.Capitulating to tyranny is not "loving America".

  • @mrbrianmccarthy: "To me, Hell is The United States". Now, Brian, what is someone supposed to make of that statement? The man is so fucked in the head, it's beyond belief. He thinks Bush caused 9/11, thinks Roosevelt allowed Pearl Harbor and he's got a soft spot for Tim McVeigh. Oh, yeah, he's also soft on child pornography. He's an anti-semite and he's filled with as much hatred as any skinhead or fascist goon. You admire him all you want, buddy. Be my guest.

  • @tomthefunky Bush"didnt cause 9/11".Its a little more complex than that moron.Look up the term "False Flag" and get educated about how governments actually work before you start spouting your mouth off!You sound like a typical redneck idiot to me,a guy who thinks he has all the answers and is completely uninformed. As for Vidal being "soft on Child porn" or "an anti semite", how do you know that??If you're going to make accusations lke that, then you should back them up with facts turdball.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy: C'mon, Brian, you think we deserved 9/11, don't you? Admit it.

  • @tomthefunky Nope, wrong again. I think 9/11 was the greatest tragedy to ever befall this country. You and I just disagree on WHO caused this event to take place. You probably believe the official story, and I do not.The reason I dont is because its assinine. BOTH of the Twin Towers fell in the EXACT same manner,AND they fell at free fall speeds.9/11 was a false flag attack.Go look up that term "False flag"---you might learn something.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy

You forgot or neglected to mention W.T.C. Blg #7... which provides UNEQUIVOCAL PROOF that 9/11 was an "inside Job" (l.e., False Flag op.). Hell, even the bastard, who took out the record insurance policy just weeks prior, flippin` admitted, in a live interview, that "they gave the order to go ahead & pull it."!!!

  • @jetsetjoey There are so many holes in the official story and so many ways to prove that 9/11 was an inside job that its mindboggling to me we still even have to discuss this! And whats worst of all is that no one has gone to jail, been prosecuted,or lost their job.It just proves how absolutely corrupt America is and what a farce our justice department is. Yeah, rob a store,or dont pay a traffic ticket, and you go to jail, but be involved in a false flag event that kills 3000? Hey,we'll cover for ya

  • Vidal is a novelist, so strict historical accuracy is not his objective. But 'Burr' is a great book; I re-read it a few years ago.

  • there are no facts of history. History is full of events. Events are always interpreted from one's perspective which cannot be divorced from ones values.

  • It's fine if you make that assertion. However, you must ennumerate specific instances where Mr. Vidal interjects his opinion and meddles with the historical record. In other words, you need to back up your words with evidence.

  • MOst of the things in Vidals novel was of course made up -- the conversations. The factual things are correct, but Vidal is a hoot, and made up virtually everything else. Still, Vidal is brilliant, and his Burr, Lincoln, and 1876 were the real start of my love for history.

  • Do many other historians support this view? Is it documented easily from primary texts? The character of Aaron Burr ib his novel is fascinating, but I've never once in the intervening decades checked on the accuracy of the portrayal. Even before I was wasting my time on youtube I was too lazy to do so. Any of your own ideas on this? Please post!

  • Ever since I read Vidal's novel Burr (back in 1977 or so), I've wondered about GV's novelized account of all the interactions between the founding fathers. What is the establishment view of the claim that Jefferson didn't honor his "agreement" with Burr but instead blocked him? continued

  • The establishment view is that there was no such agreement. Jefferson was very careful to make sure he left no records on certain subjects. This is one reason Burr is demonized - because Jefferson has to be a saint.

  • Hey, thanks! Glad to know we helped. Good luck on your project.

  • I am doing a project on Aaron Burr. This video helped me alot! thanx
