I'm taking my family to the remake house this weekend! We are watching the 2003 & 2006 movies the night before so it is fresh in our minds. My 3 sons (9,7,6) will love to see this place. I cant wait!!!
That BBq place in Cele is actually about 3min from Pflugerville Lake. I have gone by there and took pics and someone was yelling at me...I live not far from there. The original house that was in Quick Hill is in Kingsland and is a restaurant
@DontFallBackMovie Thanks, I no longer care then. I forgot they even made a remake, the first is the only real one much like all the great horror movies that get remade. TCM the original is one of horror's classics, so well done almost documentary style with very little gore.
Pretty cool. How did you ever find all this stuff?
Although, TCM never really happened. The movie was inspired by the same person who inspired the movies: Silence of the Lamb and Psycho. That was a mentally ill, grave robbing, cannibalistic, psycho who lived in WISCONSON--not Texas! His name was: Ed Gein. He committed most of his crimes in the 1940's. By the 70's, he was already in a mental institution. He is now dead. Long before the first movie was filmed, his house was burned down.
i love visiting movie locations like this one it brings back so many cool memories, does someone live in that house or is it just a prop for the movie?
@DontFallBackMovie i read that theres tours and stuff about this obviuosly not the hewitt house but the BBQ shop and the meat packing plant that in the BBQ shop you can go inside and look around and shop same with the packing plant do you say that is true.
@jantomicek The house from the remake is in Granger, TX a little outside of Austin, TX. The BBQ shop from the original movie is in Bastrop, TX and the BBQ shop from the remake is in Cele, TX. Both locations are still open. The location in Cele actually serves BBQ. All location are just a bit outside of Austin, TX.
Cool sister christian in the background lol good song and awesome creepy house of the TCM but i like the 1974 versions house more a little more creepier
@silentbob8201 yeah i know i saw how it looks now damn i really wished they would have kept that house the way it was in the movie and turned it into a haunted house or something that would been so badass
@ Juan16708, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a story based on a guy named Ed Gein who lived in Wisconsin. He has been dead for a long time. They do not exisit in Texas.
@sweettooth80 No, I doubt they'll let anyone on their property. My family has known their their family for many years and i have never been on their land.
@MrCupid1992 It's located just outside the city limit of Granger, Texas. I live less than a mile from the house. ( the Cavanaugh mansion) My family knows their family.
If I could I would so go inside that house. It would be very creepy but then again I know this film was only based on Ed Gein so it wouldn't bother me. If I ever visit Texas I wanna go to this house! :)
Was this story real? and was their really a maniac with a chainsaw living their or was it just some film makers making up a killer and puting him in those houses?
@XxXDisturbedXxX1000 Not there and he wasn't real. But, hey, this is AMERICA. Anything could've happened back then and that's probably why so many people went missing back then. :x
Are all of these in fairly close proximity to each other? The original house, of course, isn't due to it being in Kingsland, but of these locations, how far would you say they are from each other?
Dumb ass calls them "meanies" because they have a no trespassing sign! Fucking right keep out. Or have a bunch of idiot tourists wondering your house taking pictures because of some fucking movie. Shit, jail is the easy way out, around here you'd get your ass shot if you walk on the wrong property...
@DontFallBackMovie Does anybody still live in that house? Because it isn't in a good shape. Not much movment around there, i see a tractor, but that's it. THANKS!
@KKDOLLSLOVER People actually own that property and live in a smaller house behind the large house. They just don't want to be bothered with having to give tours. I believe they are an older couple.
@aaronzvz Oh I know. Who cares. It has four wheels and gets me around. Next time try using spell check....lol. Thanks for commenting on my video though!!
You know what you should of done, get a fake leatherface with a chainsaw to come up, while you were spinning around 360 degrees, him come up from behind with a really loud chainsaw and run at the camera and it just blacks out with you screaming haha that'd be so awesome.
@R1MusicX As a matter of fact I am in the middle of writing a horror movie. The storyline is complete and we are on page 10 of the script right now. Lots of work ahead, but updates will be posted here.
@Yasir2038 HAHAHAHAHAHA BULLSHIT!!! it was kind of ok, the original texas chainsaw massacre is the best, the 2003 version just tried to make money of it n added a bunch of gore, still cool seeing the locations but nothing compares to the original
