@belizeanjuk89 different people have different processes. I write them both at the same time, otherwise it can sound like you're shoe-horning the lyrics into the melody or vice versa. But that takes an incredible amount of practice.

@MissiSmile143 That's interesting - the song hasn't changed at all (except for about 2 words.) So the production and performance made an impact on you. That's why it's hard to be a good producer - they have to hear the song in a very early stage and decide if it's good or not.

It’s hard to find singers who have a great voice but it’s harder to find ones with a great voice who can also portray the emotion of the song that they are singing.
