Why is the music so sad? The horse is fantastic and of course, so is the rider. This was a great ride!!! I've done clinics with Cesar and he has some good tecniques. I was very sad to hear that the horse was put down last year.

He was a great horse who competed in the Olympics with Cesar adn lastly showing with Mikala. He was a sweet, kind and gentle stallion and will forever be missed by everyone!

Just to make it official, I was his groom up until 4 months before it happened.

Galant's intestine wrapped around one of his testicles. He went in for emergency surgey and was fine. However when getting up from surgery he hurt his shoulder only to find that he broke it. Sadly with most horses in this situation, he had laminitis.

there really isnt' a word i can use to say how brilliant that was.AMAZING, SPECTACULAR..just doesnt seem to be good enough for this video. the rider was very good but the horse was the real attraction! actually, both were great! i hav a big question mark over my head as to how they train them so well

"dressage is the basis to everything"...not really, though there are similarities between all types of riding (you're on a horse, for example), not everyone uses dressage as a preparation for their other work in a formal way.

I feel that's incorrect. Anyone who wants to learn about dressage should really be encouraged, not put down. "lope" is a term used in many areas for a slower, western style canter.

"the point of dressage". to teach the horse to carry more weight on his hind legs, so he can be light on his front legs, and be nimble and do difficult patterns, changes of lead and pivots of various types. "the point" is that it is really, really fun to do. it didn't come totally from military, per historians at the Spanish Riding School, much of it came from 'court riding' of kings and queens, which was just for the fun of it.

Dressage was the original form of formal riding. it is based on the way cavalry armies used to train and ride their horses. it is about communication and balance. it takes MANY years and MANY hours of schooling to reach Cesar and Galant's level of performance they are super!

i really really dont understand the point of dressage what ur horse can trot or lope and it makes it look like no efort idonno plz tell me what dressage os all about.

dressage is about hard work and excellence, harmony and calm, discretion, discipline and using all the possibilities the horse offers. Dressage is also the basis to everything, if you want to jump you first have to dress, if you only have your horse jumping, i am not so sure of the kind of musculatur he'll get.

Him and Galan Du Serein were at the Equine Affaire (2006) I loved his performance.

Caesar I believe had his music customized by the Klassickur team - this may not be the music he is actually riding to as other Devon videos on this site did not have the orignal kur music
