Whats wrong with the lady Karen. Why is she going to paraolympics and not the olympics

Karen was injured in a riding accident in which the horse rolled onto her and broke her back, leaving her in incomplete paraplegic (partially paralyzed from the waist down). In para competition there are several grades and categories of disability - Karen is a IV (highest level of function). A more complete telling of the story can be found in the book "Double Take: Karen Brain's Olympic Story" by Nikki Tate (Sono Nis Press).

Yes, they are two different people - but Aly was very much like Karen at the same age. All the footage was shot about two years ago.

That young girl i bet will make it to the Olympics some day, and hopefully ride Ella, but omg that was so cute, she acted like there was no other horse in the world who could beat her pony and i thought that was amazing

aww! that was sooo cute!  when the little girl said "when i grow up i'm gonna ride ella in the olympics...she is the best in the world" i bawled. how beautiful. thats what riding is about: the love for your animal no matter how big or small, accomplished or not.
