I am guessing that they're not music/drama/theatre majors. If they are, it's a sad, sad day. (I've directed engineers, mathematicians, and scientists that've done better). (On the other hand, the Harvard Radcliffe acapella group is quite good).

This isn't a vocal audition. Very strong voice, but again, lacks understanding/emotion behind the words/context of the song. That's as much her fault as it is the director's. Girl in the back in white tights looks hot though. :o)

Seriously this was at Harvard? I heard better performances in high school. That was not good at all. people just need to know if they've got it and I don't know if this was an off night but this girl something about her didn't work.

Emotional depth is missing. Her voice is strong and she had all of the notes, but she should reach inside herself for the disappointment that this song is supposed to be about. The song is about dreaming of something that you are unable to obtain. This girl is smiling. It doesn't work as a performance of this song. But her voice is solid.

whats with the flute player... you need a trumpet... it sounds empty.

and the chords weren't that good with the chorus... and somebody screwed up the words in "Dont forget, can't regret." lol

other than that it was bad... but the soloist was good.

5) The piano should not have played during the silence at 2:37. That just didn't work.

6) Woodwinds are not a replacement for brass! You could find a flutist but not a trumpet player?

3) The last three "What I did for love"s had some one person higher and louder than where the emphasis was supposed to be (making the overall chord sound awkward). That person also could not hold such a high note and wavered in pitch.

4) What kind of blocking is that? It looked so unnatural to squat and the movement of the ensemble didn't seem very fluid behind the soloist.

1) If you're not going to light the entire stage, don't walk around and then stand in a dark spot without a damn follow spot!

2) Musically it was rushed and it seemed like the drum section was playing double time when it was a slow section of the song (only the end should be double time for the drums).
