  • "Tomarahamaharoomi" lol

  • "heel striker" hahaha

  • I was going to wait for the weather to warm up before ordering a pair of invisible shoes, but I'm tired of waiting. This winter has been so mild I'm just going to order them now.

  • as a barefoot runner, i died laughing!

  • :) I'm guilty as charged on all counts. Thanks for the laugh and for the window to laugh at myself in a good way. I do have a new pair of seeyas on the way (oft checking the tracking#). Also have two pairs of invisible shoes!

  • You do a great job, hilariously parodying/satirising the various irrational and/or seemingly inconsistent behaviours of many barefooters.

I love how the "heel-striker" comment, is about someone who is clearly lands with the forefoot, or possibly the mid-foot :)

    ...and the horrid pronunciations.

  • OMG its TAH-rah-oo-MAH-rah and tons of indigenous people ran long distance with little to no foot-wear, not just the Tarahumara.

  • I love this video and I do happen to love your Invisible shoes.... so funny Steven. ;)

  • lol its actually quite true, this vid

  • AWESOME VIDDDD!!!

  • It's pronounced "Tommybahama".

  • I love this, thanks for making it. I have about 30 pairs of shoes in my closet. I'm totally into running barefoot as well.....

  • "Then he had to put on shoes, and he DIED." Funniest bit, right there!

  • Great!

  • I'll Vibrams seriously when I see more people running in them than fat guys walking around the mall in them. Currently runners are down by about 30 points.

  • pronounced Vibram, like vibrate.

  • @ZidaneSteiner no. Veebram

  • @aorton101 I work for Vibram (Vibrate)

  • @ZidaneSteiner so do I

  • I've read Born to Run...! So funny...Buuuuut..the bit about minimalist shoes being twice the price..summat in that I reckon!

  • hmpf... heelstriker ! this is hilarious... and i still want to wear fivefingers ;)

  • Very funny. I've caught myself saying a couple of these myself and yes I've just read Born to Run ;-)

  • gravel, Gravel, GRAVEL!

    lol

  • Gravel gravel gravel!

  • Lmao Tarahumara!!!

  • I have watched this video a dozen times and it cracks me up every time. Gotta say though, for a barefoot runner he bobs up and down an awful lot when he runs.

  • Another thing they say..."have you seen that sh!t barefoot runners say video? So funny..."

  • i am waiting for comic genius steve to make a shoe music video with some aspiring american idol female wanna-be. perhaps the lyrics can start as follows: "friday, friday, it's friday, i don't know what to wear. tommy's wearing nikes, sally's in uggs. i will go barefoot, barefoot, barefoot. i am having so much fun..." (just kiddin' folks)

  • @dafranx Ouch, I guess I wasn't considering his real personality. A lot of times I judge actors by their acting talents instead of the real them. Sorry I didn't mean any offense, and I sure didn't do my research.

  • I haven't genuinely laughed this much at a youtube video in a long time. Great job!

  • Looks like the dude that plays "The Patriot" and "BraveHeart"

  • @Muszsicrazy No, he looks like ME ;-)

  • @invisibleshoes haha, srry didn't mean to offend your individuality, but hey its pretty cool that you resemble him.

  • @Muszsicrazy I guess you could pull of saying your his brother or something....

by the way awesome video I started laughing before it even began just from reading the title of the vid.

  • @Muszsicrazy You're talking about crazy, drunk, anti-semitic, Jesus crazy Mel Gibson. That's the guy from "The Patriot" and "BraveHeart".

  • Can't say I'm HAPPY that people think we look alike ;-)

  • LOL Awesome !

  • Hilarious! I've been sharing this video with all my running friends. The rest of my friends... yeah, the don't get it.

  • @EverettTimesInfinity You have friends who don't run. Is that allowed?

  • @invisibleshoes hahaha!

  • wahahahaha, legend!

  • Oh. My. Gawd. Steve! This is awesome... heel striker!

  • so true. barefoot industry has become another gimmick to sell product people dont really need.

  • 1:44 - I always wonder that. Less material, less cost to manufacture. Retail price should be a multiple of cost to manufacture & distrib. So - why do they cost so much more than traditional running shoes?

  • @88fredmcfred Minimalist shoes are still relatively new inventions, so companies that produce them have spent a ton of money on R&D and sell relatively few of them. Costs are high now but as they become more popular, economies of scale and increased competition will help lower the price.

  • @Jimmy31777 I see your point, but the decreased cost of manufacture can easily recoup the R&D costs. I'm pretty sure it is just taking advantage of Joe Public and being 'in' . Perhaps we should just all go and make our own sandals from old tires.

  • I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

  • @MrAnthony1a Then I think you'll like the follow up that I'm working on ;-)

  • hahaha

  • hahahahaha "The fact that your sore is good, that will go away in like a year"

  • Love it. This new phenomena "Things ____ people say" is going well... well, it's better than planking.

  • @littlejohnnybad Oh, THAT should be the newest one: Sh*t People Planking Say! ;-)

  • Gotta git me summa them "hurr-a-kees" :-)

Well done, this was really funny.

  • Steven, great job! this was hilarious

  • Quite funny. Thanks, weirdo.

  • ha I was gonna ask if you had vibrams

  • This is a classic - well done!

  • i admit it. i always point out heel strikers HA!

  • Wow, hilarious! I especially liked the part about Abebe Bikila.

  • Yes, it's VEEB-hram (1:12 mark). Ask the Italians how to properly say "Vitale Bramani".

  • I thought I was the only one to correct the Vibram pronunciation. I was also waiting for something along the lines of "Terra Planna?, Oh, you mean Terra Plana."

  • Just gave you guys your first "like" on Stumbleupon. This is hilarious, I'll be honest I mention Born to Run more then I should... and the Chia seeds, too funny. Spot on.

  • A+++ Nice touch with the deer! :-)

  • It's a conspiracy! LOL. I don't say any of these things, I just write them in my blog. Awesome video.

  • You silly sod! Love it! Love it, Barefoot Steven :D

  • I'm so sharing this.... (the barefoot thing for horses is huge now too actually.... we even have "minimalist shoes" for when they are on rougher trails :-D)

  • lmao!! so good guys!! xDD

  • lmao

  • Painfully close to reality :-)

  • Hilarious!

  • Nice Video Mel Gibson!

  • It's Tarahumara dammit. -.-

  • “I used to have patellar tendonitis, metatarsal stress fractures, Achilles tendonitis, shin splints, they removed all the ligaments in both of my knees, then last week I started running barefoot, and now I run and ultra-marathon every day.” I love it.

  • Perfect! Too funny

  • Oh my god I had tears in my eyes laughing, oh and yes I frikkin love chia seeds :D

  • NO competitive 800m-5k runners that I know of run all or mostly barefoot, just sayin

  • Hilarious!!! Love it!

  • You people are retarded.

  • Very funny. My faves: 1) I'm Barefoot Chuck etc. 2) pronouncing Tarahumara 3) soreness will get better in a year 4) foot prisons. lol

  • Thing is I live in the UK and we have lots of Hawthorn hedges and people don't clean up after their dogs and if I wore your shoes as much as I'd like to try them I would most probably end up with black toes and not only covered in dog sh*t i'd have to have my toes amputated from frost bite. Thank god for my Vibrams! Plus I don't want to be arrested I live in a very conservative town. Fun video though - good marketing :)

  • Nice video, Geddy

  • Hey are those guys all brothers?

  • I don't get it.

  • OMG this one is actually funny. Wow, I nearly pissed my pants. Love it, especially the "Tarahumara" part.

  • Ah, Wonderland Lake! Where you'll likely see Frank Shorter than someone running barefoot!

  • lol

  • lol

  • lol

  • Lmaoooooooo. Tarharuma!

  • Love it!!

  • barefoot running is such a cult... :)

  • Well, some animals are FORCED to wear shoes, like horses. We should put a stop to that.

  • @badbillstoker I'll admit, I was hoping to get that shot with horses in the background ;-)

  • @badbillstoker horses need to wear horseshoes when they're walking/running on pavement, cobblestone and pretty much any hard manmade path. They're not made to wear them to suppress the happiness of their species. They're designed to preserve their hooves, so they don't wear them down on surfaces that they weren't 'designed' to tread on. It's a pretty ingenious solution, really. And if applied correctly, are painless to the animal.

  • Ha! Classic stuff SS.

    "Its a conspiracy...!"

  • Hilarious.

  • "heel striker" haha heck yeah!

  • I laughed so hard, especially at the end... thanks!

    Wretha

  • ROFL

Steven, you haven't lost your standup comic roots yet.

  • LOL. So true!

  • Glad you all like it (those stunt deer were expensive!). Don't forget to share/like/tweet/+1/etc. ;-)

  • @invisibleshoes When I saw the deer I was like: Chuch Testa did a really good job for once ;)

  • Awesome video Steven. Perfect!

  • Love it! I've personally ran Born to Run 500 times, and it is pronounced "T-A-RRA-HOO-MARR-AAHH"

    haha! Keep the videos coming!

  • sweet job Steve. Don't come cryin to me with the blisters.

    Dr. Mark

  • Heel striker!

  • LOL @ "...now I run an ultra marathon every day."

  • The best Shit ___ say for runners so far

  • oh shoot! the last part.. hehehe

  • I've seen so many crappy "Sh*t _____ Say" videos but this one is SPOT ON and HILARIOUS! Great job on the video!

  • Have to laugh, how true it all is.
