@sekzods Perhaps the overwhelming nostalgia, for some of us, of listening to the shipping forecast while you had the radio on for someting else late at night. The approaching Low on the weather forecast reflects the singer's feelings. And the sea is a cold lonely place. Why do people always have to bring up Oasis when commenting on Blur. Let's face it. Blur were way way way up there.
Actually, I recently discovered that many people don't even know Damon Albarn was ever in Blur. Many younger kids only know him from Gorillaz. I thought someone was joking with me!!
Quite a poignant moment there; just Damon and Graham sharing the stage together after all of these years performing one of the best songs in Blur's career. Just brilliant; wish I was there.
oh dear what's up with damon's voice, his voice in the mid 90's wasn't even the most cmmmanding or powerful, i still enjoyed it tho! That's what smoking does to your voice damon

Mmmmh I wonder why Oasis got booed by a set of southern inbreds...nowt to do with Blur playing live then...judging by this effort they'll be playing the folk festivals this summer....this is painful lol !...thank f--k we've pre booked for the V Festival...Oasis The Mondays The Specials and Elbow....Nice !
yep, gotta have some oasis to keep things fresh and interesting. its not like they havent made the same album over and over for the last 12 years or anything like that.
If I'm honest Filthy I'd say they've done three good albums and Yes I don't think they've broken many barriers down. At the end of the day they're just a rock and roll band albeit a fantastic one LIVE !!
There aint many unique bands around these days mainly because a lot of styles have already been explored...that and the fact the world is becoming globalised and the music industry is controlled by a few large corporations
how amazing would it be if you were a brand new band there for the first time and you get to see the Cure and the reunion of Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon all in one night aswell as having the thought you are being recognised for your work?
Well in my mind music is so flat at the moment.. You might as get some bands from yesteryear who still have something going for them to try and liven things up again.
haha yeah, there's some good bands atm but damn, in the 90s every friggin' genre had great stuff, back in the days when the charts actually DID have the best stuff playing
so glad these guys confirmed glastonbury, although it was damn obvious let's be honest
i was at the movies (and like thousands of miles away, too) and thinking "Blur are getting back together right now and GOD how i wish i was there" u.u
