  • awesome Original Composed Music!!!! ganda!

  • FACT : the 2005 SEAG ranks as having the largest audience having reached 200,000 people during the opening and closing ceremonies. These games were also noted for having the most number of delegates in the history of the SEA Games

  • This is so embarassing. Grabe we don't even have a good enough stadium to hold the opening ceremonies. up to now, wala pa rin...kelan pa ito and soon turn na naman natin to host the SEAGames...

  • @TheSamkaw better do some research before complaining asshole search philippine arena the stadium will be at the back named as new era stadium

  • magaling ang pinoy pagdating sa production number very lively compare to other countires boring sila.......tsaka magaling mag host ang ating bansa okay lang kahit wala tayong malaking stadium nakabawi naman sa presentation....hope so next time na mag host ulit tayo meron na tayong malaking stadium.

  • TRULY AMAZING

  • watch out for the opening ceremony of the 2011 sea games in indonesia...

  • Lets see 26Th sea games 2011 opening in Indonesia/Palembang City 11/11/2011.

  • the most beautiful music .. colorfull opening .. love itt ..

  • Infastructure na lang, pwede nang pang-Asian Games. :)

  • yuck! poor opening of sea game all over asean said na ang pera ng pinas di pa makakagawa ng giant stadium

  • @carlojune hayaan m darating ang panahon...magpapagawa ako. ahehehehe

  • @carlojune mag basa ka sa wikipedia search mo 23rd sea games then basahin mo yung closing ceremony mababasa mo nakalagay ..

The celebration ended with a spectacular fireworks display as all of the athletes danced to the tune of unity and prosperity; probably the greatest, and the most beautiful, closing ceremony in the history of the Games.

  • the poorest opening of sea games in southeast asia effortless ang government ng pinas.....................talagang naghi2rap na ang pinas obviuos naman

  • taraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy!!!!!! hahahahah... super saya talaga ! very filipino.

  • :)

  • Thailand><

  • please take note that the 23rd sea games was the first to use an outdoor opening ceremony. IT WAS THE FIRST. to think that the 1st youth olympics in singapore was opened in marina bay, an outdoor stage and the 2010 asian games was opened in a similar fashion in guangzhou, china. was it a trend setter? their's may be beautifully done but still, we take pride of it being the first. stay tune for this years' sea games in semarang, indonesia. they may also open the games in the same way as we did

  • hahhahahahahahahaha

LOL

  • @aMeaTrix SEA games eh... i2 lng ang time nating magtaray! hahaha

  • being Filipinos is the poorest thing on earth !

  • @MikePovarojkit thats how you see, i can't argue you with that. We might be poor as a whole country yet we have strong FAITH and that what makes us strive harder and able to survive. What if Philippines is as better as your country, and your Country is as poor like Philippines? what will you think if i say nasty words too?

  • @MikePovarojkit being you is the poorest thing and most pathetic thing that happened on earth! shame on your parents for raising you without values!

  • correction: ...guys ARE saying....

  • the people tlga they did'nt appreciate yung best ng pinoy....

  • that will be very very very appropriate!!! tignan na lang natin kung ano ang masasabi ng ibang bansa tungkol dyan sa mungkahi mo...

  • gudluck athltes for laos sea games...

  • and in the boxing i know we will win there a gold.

  • the country's sports facilities and free expenses of the athletes from the practices, clothes they'll wear, their navigation fee and medication because right now the athletes have to spend money for a practice if the sports that they would love to participate on does not have facilities in PSC let's also wait for the Fil-Am who said that he would love to represent his country in a sports where (it's kinda like motorcycling) and why not mikee cojuangco for the equestrian she's still young.

  • bagged 2 bronze medals and paul tan ranked 4th at the men's division and Fr.rojohn ramirez (a priest in jesus the nazarene church in binmaley, pangasinan) bagged 1 silver and two bronze medals in world taekwondo culture expo in south korea which is a great outlook that our country can now win a gold which is one of the requirements for a coutry to host an olypics and also wu shu let's wish that it'll be proved by the WSP to be one of the games in london 2012 i wish our coutry budgets this things

  • you sure nagbalintong china is still a 3rd world country it just advance 2007 as an NIC like our country i wish we've made a stage and that such number of delegates 1,095 is also the number that we can bring in an olypics just this nov.13,2009 marestella torres bagged the gold in asia indoor games held in guanzhou, china and nov.10,2009 richie rosales (hope im saying it right winned in world powerlifting 2009 held in new delhi, india bagged the gold and lily picante filipina powerlifter

  • look like a concert! it 's not look like open ceremony!

  • I saw a comment bwt d hosting of Philippines at Olympic games. Hmm I guess it's imposible right now coz to be qualified... a country should belong in a 1st world countries like Beijing,SouthKorea,Japan, Australia nd it'll take a while bef it happens. Dpa kya for NOW ng Philippines.

  • GO TEAM PHILIPPINES!!!!!

  • parang disco.. ;)

  • kahit ganito ang Pilipinas, wala ng sasarap pang tirhan kundi sa bayan na kinalakihan mo na kasama ang mga mahal mo sa buhay. d2 pinakamasaya magpasko at mag new year, buwan buwan may fiesta, napakaraming selebrasyon at lugar na mapupuntahan. ang ibang bansa mayaman nga pero nde nmn masaya tirhan kaya wala ring kwenta. mayaman nga nde nmn masaya. just learn to appreciate the small things in life. wealth is important but it cant buy true happiness. simple lng taung mga pinoy pero rock hehe.....

  • Wooooh!! ANG SAYA.

  • yeah!! GO VIETNAM!!

  • (sigh)

I just wish that philippines had that amount of people in the olympics...

  • yah your right...so boring and they showcases the culture of Thailand not the whole asean community...which is improper!...(sigh) pero pagbigyan nalang natin for the ASEAN neighbors to prosper..hehehe

  • Woi. Amboring nga nung sa Thailand at Vietnam e.

You are just envious because Manila is just that distinct from all those monotone Asian cities.

  • The Philippines' entrance gave me goosebumps. I was there during the opening. I was a volunteer then. We had a good place, just behind the VIPs on the ground. Adrenalin and nationalism was rushing all over my body back then. I was proudly waved the flag. Then, after the formal ceremonies the whole place was on a party mode. A foreign TV camera even caught us dancing merrily while waving the flag. I hope Manila wins the bid, at least, for 2018 Asiad.

  • I am so with you! :)

  • Bidding for 2018 Asiad ? I hope not. Manila is not ready to host an Asiad. Asiad is a couple of times larger in scale than SEA Games. Manila has to accept their limitations first before even thinking of bigger things.

  • Masyadong biased. Dapat di ganito. Dapat very objective.

  • I don't think so. I believe that a games' opening ceremony (be it the Asiad or the Olympiad) is really intended to have a bias for the host country. It is where countries from around the world witness the host nation's showcase of its culture and pride. It is even used by other countries as a propaganda for the economic leaps that it has achieved (e.g., the 2003 Vietnam SEA Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games).

  • At kung ikukumpara mo pa nga yung opening ng 2005 Manila SEA Games sa 2007 Korat SEA Games, mas mahaba pa nga yung cultural presentation nila compared sa atin e, given na 10 minutes lang yung sa atin (including these Ati-Atihan dancers at the Parade of Nations) in contrast to last year's 30 minutes.

  • absolutely!tignan mo dun sa doha!

  • Hay, gandang ganda talaga ako sa presentation natin for this event. Ganda talga ng Music natin sa event na 'to which is led by Mr. Ryan Cayabyab.

This is the best SEA Games Opening Ceremony! Though it seems that the government practiced austerity measures its not the cost the counts but the way we presented it. Thank you for those who shouted and clapped in the Philippine's delegation entrance.

    - jUbeRtjOhN -
