If you're a believer in Jesus Christ, and love God, you know the feeling that heaven is home. You know that peace that is just a taste of what heaven is like. Its a peace that makes all worries and concerns disappear because you just know that everything is going to be alright.
I can't comment on the validity of this claim because, of course, there is no evidence here to support anything you said. However, you appeared to be totally sincere and I was captivated throughout. NDEs are an artifact of an unconscious dying brain. When you're unconscious, your thoughts are called dreams. Lots of dreams are programmed by your repeated waking experiences. The man in the video said, "It became that image that I grew up worshiping on the altar as an altar boy..." So he likely saw blue-eyed Jesus as some kind of priest's penis with a glowing light around it. It gave him comfort.

@ChipArgyle He says he was in a coma for two weeks so his brain wasnt 'dying' for all that time was it? ...further proof of NDEs not being some hallucination of a dying brain can be found in operations where the patient is temporarily dead ie some very serious brain operations, where the body is drained of blood and put on 'ice' for hours, until the patient is resusatated after. Better yet, if as you say NDEs are unconfirmed, why take the position that they're true? That's the stance a religious zealot would take. The reasonable thing to do is to wait until evidence conclusively proves that indeed these people are seeing God and their dead relatives while they're unconscious.

@SageAndOnions OBEs and NDEs are powered by anecdotal evidence. Would the claim stand up in a court of law or a science lab? Are there artifacts of the experience that others can verify? Can it be repeated? Can it be accurately tested? Can it be falsified?

@ChipArgyle A simple experiment you can do to prove astral projection is for someone to put a random 5 digit number on a wall (say at your friends house), and for you not to see it obviously. Then you have to try project there to see the number and relate it back to the person in 'reality'. This is repeatable and it works. The only way these things can be proven is with objectively measurable results like these, and not anecdotes alone, hence more research needs to be done from different angles
@ChipArgyle NDEs have been proven. They are not hallucinations triggered by DMT or brain stress. The proof is simply this -- people who have experienced NDEs can describe in full detail events that happened while they were clinically dead. They have full recall of who was in the room, what conversations were had, what the doctors were doing, etc. All things that could not have been witnessed while in a state of unconsciousness or clinical death.

@ChipArgyle I recommend you study a project done by the US Military having to do with Zero G test pilots. Then take what you have studied, and compare it to NDEs. There is a very distinctive pattern difference between what you are describing and what is described by an NDE. You will find static, unwavering proof. Best of luck in your journey.

Here is where you lose... There is NO evidence that the experiences these people recalled happened while they were brain dead. Just because someone goes brain dead and recalls the experience doesn't mean the experience they recalled happened while the brain was dead. It happened as it was dying...

That is why he allowed Adam and Eve to sin in the garden, he wasn't the source of that sin but he allowed it to happen so that one day he could show the people of the world how much love he had for them. And thus give people a reason to love him. That way our love for him wouldn't be forced.

He showed us how much he loves us by putting to death his son, and raising him back up from the dead so that we can have eternal life. I have been told quite boldly by a few Muslims (not sure if sunni or the other variant) that Jesus was prophet, not a Savior and their reason for this belief is that it's impossible for God to impregnate a lady, contrary to what Christians believe. Very good story. Mr. Payne of the Payne family singers was in a car accident, thought he was going to die. Saw angels all around him. Changed his life. NDEs are an artifact of an unconscious dying brain. When you're unconscious, your thoughts are called dreams. Lots of dreams are programmed by your repeated waking experiences. The man in the video said, "It became that image that I grew up worshiping on the altar as an altar boy..." So he likely saw blue-eyed Jesus as some kind of priest's penis with a glowing light around it. It gave him comfort.

Better yet, if as you say NDEs are unconfirmed, why take the position that they're true? That's the stance a religious zealot would take. The reasonable thing to do is to wait until evidence conclusively proves that indeed these people are seeing God and their dead relatives while they're unconscious.

@SageAndOnions OBEs and NDEs are powered by anecdotal evidence. Would the claim stand up in a court of law or a science lab? Are there artifacts of the experience that others can verify? Can it be repeated? Can it be accurately tested? Can it be falsified?
I once lived with pirates of old for 2 years, swashbuckling and partying like a demon. They were 2 of the most vivid years of my life. Turned out it was a 7-second dream I had as a kid when I was knocked unconscious.

@ChipArgyle A simple experiment you can do to prove astral projection is for someone to put a random 5 digit number on a wall (say at your friends house), and for you not to see it obviously. Then you have to try project there to see the number and relate it back to the person in 'reality'. This is repeatable and it works. The only way these things can be proven is with objectively measurable results like these, and not anecdotes alone, hence more research needs to be done from different angles

The proof is simply this -- people who have experienced NDEs can describe in full detail events that happened while they were clinically dead. They have full recall of who was in the room, what conversations were had, what the doctors were doing, etc. All things that could not have been witnessed while in a state of unconsciousness or clinical death.

The last sense to go is hearing. That's how some of these people can describe who was in the room and what was said.

He showed us how much he loves us by putting to death his son, and raising him back up from the dead so that we can have eternal life. @neartochrist2 I am already a Christian, and I had a NDE where I realized that I was held by God, and was showered with God’s perfect and unconditional Love. I don’t just believe anything about God, but remember from direct experience of God. Every word and concept that we try to use to define and encapsulate God will inevitably fail to even touch the Truth, so we have to be content to just hint at It. I surrender any knowledge of God, to supplicate and better understand God.

If you are a Christian, then you are a follower of Jesus Christ; He said I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me. John 14:6. Therefore we can know God's truth, and that truth is found in Jesus Christ.

It's really too bad that many can be so crude about videos like this. I can not wait to meet my Lord. Although I know there are going to be things I don't want to remember, but I guess I have to face them. Testimonies like this help understand our God so much more. I've often prayed to feel so close I can feel Him breath on me. The love of God is more than we can ever understand in this life that is why some get to see and feel it for themselves. @eulldog What I'm saying is that the view in both religions is different. I have been told quite boldly by a few Muslims (not sure if sunni or the other variant) that Jesus was prophet, not a Savior and their reason for this belief is that it's impossible for God to impregnate a lady, contrary to what Christians believe. I dunno maybe he just had something up his ass against Christians (a la intolerance)... I'm not religious myself but I just thought I'd point this difference in view out.

Very good story. Mr. Payne of the Payne family singers was in a car accident, thought he was going to die. Saw angels all around him. Changed his life. Another singer friend of mine was in a country band, went to the bus at half time to kill himself, an angel appeared said "God isn't done with you." I have had two NDEs myself and each time an angel came and took me then returned me to my body. Changed my life for the good. God bless.

@gups The Light and Tunnel effects produced in lab are very limited experiences and way short of the full blown stories and experiences of most NDEs. Once a person is brain dead, the brain can no longer receive images from chemicals or anything else. The LOVE, BEAUTY AND WISDOM attained in these NDEs are far beyond anything produced in a lab. Medical Doctors have had NDEs and claimed they know the difference between reality and hallucination and were adamant that they were NOT hallucinating!

LOL I just watched the penn and teller near death experience and I stopped watching it right when he says "Near death experiences are generated by brain functions" This guy clearly knows nothing of what near death experiences are. Right when your heart stops beating your brain "shuts off" and so does every organ in your body thus there cannot be any brain functioning going on or brain activity.
