Wondered why you hadn't released Figure You Out as the single when the opportunity to make one came up...it was the one featured on RWP, albeit in snippets, and was more upbeat and catchy than Tractorland...reasoned you were going for a Kiwiana thiong perhaps...but kiwiana made me wince then, I wanted an NZ EC and the Attractions - but enough said about that towering figure - it'd freak anyone out having to open for him. You guys were the most interesting act around. Never saw any tribute shows.
I was there, I remember the line "it's almost intelligence" - were you and the bass player close to splitting up? This time or another date you blew the Hoodoo Gurus off the stage to me...they were so loud they had no subtlety...you had songs like this and Figure You Out with diminished notes...far more interesting...I found Tractorland single after that in an Onehunga music shop. Friend told me it was there...tried to by both copies, guy'd only sell me one...
