Me and my boyfriend have booked a holiday to Playa de Las Americas in July for my birthday. We'll probably spend most of the time sunbathing and visiting the beaches so I'm wondering where the best beaches are? I know that most are man made but we're just looking for somewhere decent and local to the main area of Las Americas. Thank you.

@fallonoliviasmith I'd say the one called Troya beach is the best if you like big waves and the one called Las Vistas if you prefer smaller waves.

at 3:49 , hotels near Linekers and Veronicas include: Hesperia Troya. Gala, H10 Las Palmeras, Paradero ll, Hacienda del Sol..... all within easy reach if you like nightlife.

just got back from playa de las americas, stayed at oro blanco hotel and absouletly loved it! what an amazing place! defonately will return!

@bromleykyokushinkai ahah awesome thats the hotel I stayed at :) Unless there was another oro blanco. Was yours the one with the swimming pool in the middle with the bar right next to the swimming pool along with when you go out of the hotel and turn left there is a little convenience store :)

This is such a auful place. Terrible. Imported sand from the Sahara, fake aztec statues and fat tattooed lobster-coloured northern Europeans everywhere. A disgrace to the lovely island of Tenerife. Can't believe people actually go there. I stayed here 1 night and was welcomed at the hotel with a forcefull-company-smile who didn't even greet in spanish. The "real" people live in the north. After an uneatable mass-production buffet the next morning I left in a rush. Never will I return.

@vampirotufus thats strange i have had many nice holidays in tenerife but saying that the apartments where i go all of the people are native and always happy :) never had a bad time there you just have to knpw where to go
