Even soft rock like this makes better dance music than rap of today. THUMBS UP IF AGREED!
Because 5 people seem to rag on stuff just because they don't know about it, which is how brainwashed the youth is listening to Drake and Kanye West. Not to mention Tpain and FloRida.
@zep2zap go to Daniel Quintana on You Tube and check out my muzik. it's the new twist on old school singer/songwriter muzik... tell me what you think... Lovemuzikinc - B&W pic of me sitting at a keyboard
@zep2zap Just as you hear these songs from your youth and smile , he remembered songs from his youth and the memories of times when he was carefree and strong.
The best part of todays music is it gives us a reason to listen to the old stuff. In the 70's we couldn't fill ourselves with enough music, everything was good. But we were subjected to the radio telling us what we like. Now, since music todays is so awful I am rediscovering the 70's and loving every minute of it..
@HomerSimpson3288 Your absolutely right! So, much music happened in the 70's with so much depth, it;s enough to last a life time. Today's music is an epic fail!,..no purpose for people to even attempt music today.
Hmmmm, If this was out in 1976 I was 6, I remember like it was like yesterday. I'm told I remember coming out of my mother. I have fond memories of those days. Those were good times & there was great music on the air. Thanx for the awesome post
This song makes me want to buy a Jet Black '77 Trans Am, just like the one in Smokey & The Bandit, remove the T-tops, and do the biggest burn-out in front of my friends--YEEEE-HAAAAAAAW
WOW! Growing up, I used to hear this all the time. Its neat how a song like this can take you back to an earlier time. You actually feel like you did way back then. Neat!
@BurgerChefGuy DO YOU KNOW HOW SMART ONE WOULD HAVE TO BE TO POST A COMMENT LIKE THIS,,,??? I DO!! I TRY TO TELL MY YOUNGER FRIENDS THAT LISTENING TO 70'S JAMS LIKE THIS,,MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I WAS BACK IN 5TH GRADE WHEN THIS CAME OUT!! (BIG SIGH,,!!) WOW,,TODAYS KIDS ARE DOOMED. THEY'LL NEVER KNOW A "70'S FEEL GOOD HIT". THEY GOT TOO WRAPPED UP INTO HIP-HOP. I'M SO FREAKING HAPPY I GRADUATED IN 1986!!!
We all think the songs of the 70s were the best and there was nothing like it etc etc..BUT our parents think the same thing about the music of the 50s and 60s and our kids will say the same thing about the music from the 90s...its the cycle of life ...
this is one of all time favs these guys could really play a crowd>>>>>>miss those days when music was real and had a message it made you feel............
@kd4adv yes of course just at July from 1977 when we were at winter here at Peru so 34 years ago when I was fifteen and I was at high school wonderfull times and it's on my chart the song no care to looked it up on wikipedia cause the people whom lived the moment never gonna say watcha gonna do okey
The decade that gave us Qiana, disco, mood rings, leisure suits, platform shoes, "perms", concert shirts and frighteningly bad television is also the decade that gave us some brilliant rock and pop music. Pablo Cruise is an example.
Amazing how listening to a song can take you right back to that wonderful time in your life and make you feel as if you're still there for the entire song. Listening to this, I'm 18 again and it's the spring of 1977. What a great time!!
we that grew up in the 70s dont know how lucky we are !! we had the BEST rock and roll music that will ever be, turn it up and bring back the good times and memories !!!
15 when this came out. i was into other stuff at the time but dug the groove enough to listen to the whole thing. hearing it now, it blows away just about anything coming out these days in the of pop. drumming is very tight, bass has a deep groove goin' on, guitar has a sweet tone and the solo is very nicely done (read: not overdone), the harmonies are right there, and that 2:13-2:217 a prog moment! :) this, is a well-crafted composition. who, at 15, was always fair? ;)
When I hear this it reminds me of being 6 years old and wanting to be a teenager and MORE THAN ANYTHING have a Black 1969 Mustang Fastback "with mags on it!" and play this just as loud as I can! haha
@Translator 100....Being Gay must be tough, but dude...stick it out. You'll find your way in life.I actually get pussy,so no I won't be involved in this little internet tantrum anymore.Good luck with your shitty 70's music and that nasty little racism psychosis.
By the way,you won...I'm defeated and humiliated,K?
FYI, I hardly listen to 70's music other than Pablo and a few others. Let's try John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, Frank Gambale, Paco De Lucia, Sabicas, Victor (Serranito) Monge, Chick Corea, Victor Wooten, George Benson and Norman Brown to name a few - much too complex and sophisticated for your feeble mind to comprehend, based on the simple-simon 80's disco-ish crap (Noel?!?) on your profile.
When Bud Cockrel was alive hosting open mike blues jams in Monterey, he was contemplating asking me to audition for one of the Pablo Cruise oldies tours, but I don't sing, so that was that. He tried a couple local players in town, but they weren't to Dave's liking. They winded up using some dude named Stef something - a guy who's toured with Prince and other name acts - great Fusion type player. I didn't even know Bud had passed until I saw it online - I cried in front of the computer screen.
Like I said various times on the other Pablo Cruise clip - with no reply on your part - PM me if you're stupid enough to travel great lengths just to get your ass kicked physically as well. This is the last time I'm wasting my time replying to your musically obtuse ass. The next time I hear from you, it should be in my hometown in California.
The funny thing is; this may be an Internet CHATBOT I'm replying to, so the joke would be on ME...
If that were so, I would never have the opportunity to physically annihilate you myself, or even cause more severe damage.
You know, people have died over injuries as a result of repeated blows to the head. So if you and I ever hook it up in a ring and something happens to you, it's basically a sparing session. The cops can't do shit about it. So in essence; I get to kill your dumb ass and get away with it lol
I'm a typical "Boomer" born in 1960, and that's from my time(remembered when that tune was popular on the radio, both AM and FM), when records and 8-tracks ruled, in the 70's.
I agree with most all posts here.I was born in 1959 and I know a lot of my parents music from the 50's doo wop days and all the way through the 60's 70's and 80s.yes,I like a lot of the music from the 80's as well, but when we hit the 90's forget it.Except for our favs from the 60's 70's and 80's that were still together in the 90's.70's was a great time to be a teen.I graduated in '77 and I am a drummer for nearly 40 yrs now.Music has always been a big influence on me and always will be.70's!
AGREED! Our era had the perfect music! R&R for hangin' with the boys on Friday night - smooth tunes for dating on Saturday night - and a variety to get us through the week! Wouldn't trade our tunes and our time for nothing!
Somehow all the different type and style of music I grew up with from 1961 to 1979 has never left me as my favorite even after over 30 years nothing else has ever in my heart equaled that period. That is why I still only have collection of music from 1954 to 1979.
@perpetual61 My thoughts to the tee i keep telling my kids i would love to be a teen again but only if it is when i was a teen not now-a-day teen. I MISS THOSE TIMES SO MUCH.
@perpetual61 Funny, I feel the same. Being a teenager these days seems depressing and so empty. I don't care how many "toys" they have to play with, their is no soul in their culture especially when it comes to music. This stuff is classic.
