Just because you promote a clean face doesn't mean you don't know how to do a million more made-up ones. It seems natural after, oh 10 years or so of putting pounds of product on girls' faces and making them look like something else, you'd want to see people look a little more like themselves.

She looked like a reverse-raccoon with all that stuff under her eyes. Also, when she talked about mascara, she said she doesn't use black mascara on someone who is incredibly pale. I'm death-pale, and I have naturally black lashes, so I use black mascara anyway. However, I do like how she is using minimal makeup for a really quick look.

I like Carmidy because she teaches makeup in basic steps, when you have five minutes to get out the door you can't apply detailed contouring and that kind of stuff, and I see all these women who cake on foundation and thick eyeliner and think that is a five minute face. I think it is importrant to have fresh looking makeup, that does not look like you were applying it while driving

As much as I love Carmindy, she's not very sanitary. She had her fingers in this woman's eye and then used a lip product right on her. I hope she gave that woman the lipstick and didn't use it on someone else.

you should try using Mederma...it gets rid of scars new and old. you apply twice a day. i put on before moisturizer. it's amazing. about $12 a tube @ walmart!

I think it would work. I have acne as well and I think that the basic concepts are applicable. You just might need to choose a fuller coverage foundation.

I have acne on my face as well..mostly around the jaw but you should try clinique anti-wrinkle SPF foundation..its full coverage, goes on smooth, long staying power, little goes a long way, people can't tell I have acne after I put it on!!..there is no need for concealer it masks everything and takes no more than 2 min on my full face. costly but worth it, trust me!!

Carmindy's a great role model, but where are those freckles beneath her makeup.  I saw her without makeup before and she's covered in freckles, it's the only thing that bothers me about her, she pushes natural beauty but isn't naturally beautiful herself... She is, she just uses makeup to make her look natural. Not very fair to her clients or books. Though for all I know... she addresses it. Either way, she has blown me away with what she's done thus far in her career. Her future? Watch out!

I prefer mineral make-up. A really good moisturizer, a mineral foundation, a nice finishing powder and anything else you add is just for a splash of color. ( i usually apply an egg plant liner and highbeam by benefit) It's so fast! (if you have the right brushes) I do agree that High Beam by benefit is a must have product.

yeah she use some good Benefit products..but she still used powder, concealer, foundation, mascara, highlight liquid, highlighter pencil, blush, eyeliner and lip gloss...it only took five minutes because she's a pro...I dont know that many women who use NINE products just to look "NATURAL and bright eyed" every morning..that was disappointing

I use concealer, minimal liquid foundation, powder foundation, mascara, liner, brow filler, gloss, eye shadows, and a blusher every morning, and it only takes me five minutes! It has nothing to do with being a pro - all it takes is practice, and anyone can nail their routine!

I bought the book! The lipstick was actually Jing-a-ling TuTu Pink (pearl) by benefit. Also a good tip is to use Georgia Peach in place of Dandelion for a lighter pinky effect. =)
