I had DX 9 and now I'm useing DX11 and maybe DX11 is not necessary to have fun from games, but without him today games looks poor:P

yeah I tried one of those DX10 ports for XP... It doesn't work. All it does is make dxdiag show 10.0 as the DirectX version, instead of 9.0c. Everything still only works as DX9.

Hell yah it is. DX10.1 is what dx10 was supposed to be. Sure, if you have an nvidia card it's not worth it. But that's because Nvidia doesn't support dx10.1, only 10.0. DX10.1 gives a 10-30% performance boost for ATI gfx cards while not doing anything for nvidia cards. (look at unpatched Assassins Creed- it used 10.1, ATI owned that game before the patch because it was ported from Xbox360 (with ATI Xenos) to pc. Therefore, the game was already optimized for ATI's R600 architecture.

The truth is, XP users don't get DX10. Instead, modifying your game in such a specified way allows XP users to access the visually acclaimed "Very High" graphic detail settings. This is not DX10, but it is naturally only available to Vista users running a DX10 compatible card.
