LotS is in serious trouble because its biggest "client" (Tribune) pulled out for financial reasons. While the show may well get cancelled because of this, Disney/ABC seem to want to keep it on the air and are looking into alternative arrangements.

Ive got to say after watching the first couple minutes this absolutely takes everything away from how amazing the book is,i had better images in my mind than this show even began to touch,this show is nothing compared to the book,i wish i could make like a big multi movie pack with all the books not missing a single detail the tension and all the passion that dude had to of put into the book.

The book is like playing a silent hill movie...it's VERY disturbing, I had to stop reading it for a couple of days when they described what happened to Giller and the spirit guide...heck, what they described what anthropomancy is...but somehow I just can't keep my eyes off it lol.

good on ya for getting the books. - that's what the point of the show is, as far as i'm concerned. the adventures they undertake really have no relevance to the books. but the characters are kinda the same...... sortof. ... maybe. ... a little. i mean - how good can the episodes be? it's a TV show not a blockbuster movie. it's great for kicks. but i just hope you take the original source to heart, and not the series. let your mind imagine the places and characters. don't base it on the show.

I watched the first episode and now I can't wait until Saturday! I've read comments where people are saying the books are better, I didn't know it was based on a book series. I think its HILARIOUS how you have all the characters names are Fain, Kahlan, Zedd, and then you have Richard. You NEVER have a normal name in a show like this!
