Oh, so cute! I have a puggle named Marley (Her nickname is Marls Barkley). I had to leave her in another state with my parents during my move and it's driving me crazy being without her. Excellent companions and snugglers for sure :)
my puggle is 2 months old and people say they bark a lot and are good guard dogs? when is my puppy going to start barking a lot and be like that? or is it just some puggles like that? please explain. thank youuu
I have a Puggle also, she just turned a year old on Dec. 24th. She is part of our family & we love her to death, she is so protective over our 2 sons & lets us know when someone is around our house. She is one of the best little guard dogs I've seen. she is also so loyal & loves to be around the whole family, if we leave she'll sit in the window & watch for us til we get back. I wouldn't trade her for anything. I hope you have as much fun with TuffGuy as we do Carly.
@27christan They are very social and love to be in the middle of everything. Even as a puppy TuffGuy would roam from bed to bed during the night, touching base with and sleeping with the entire family. He still sleeps touching us. He is the most social dog I have ever owned...at least in terms of being in the midst of everything. He also thinks he's a Bull Mastiff! He will not back down when he is challenged! Puggles are perfect for families too, he loves my granddaughters! Very gentle!
I have a puggle and I agree completely... puggles can be a little stubborn, but the pay off is huge because they are the most loving and intelligent dogs.
@enlargemedia You are so right! TuffGuy is probably the most difficult & the most loving dog, especially in terms of outright affection, of any dog we have ever owned. And we have had some incredible dogs. But he has to be in the middle of everything & within reach at all times. Very lovable!
@mrtoastyful They are actually quite intelligent and very social and loving. But they are also very stubborn! If you aren't patient and consistent with them they will do exactly what they want to. Good luck!
I agree. Puggles are great companions. Mine is 5 months old and he's happiest playing at my feet or laying across my legs. He's such a lover and loves to play. All of the owners at our dog park just fall in love with him :-)
@kaligirl1980 That never changes. Mine still has to be close enough to see me and usually has to be touching me in some way, usually at my feet. Good luck with your little guy! They can be stubborn but they are great companions! John
@wtre I know what you mean! TuffGuy isn't that much bigger, a little bit, but I am always being told how little he looks like most Puggles. He is 3/4 Pug, so many people assume he is a Pug. They miss the longer ears, the tail, and the fact that his face isn't quite as flat as a purebred Pug. People love him and I take him on walks every night. But he will not let most people near him. He is very funny about it. Even with the girls. He is just not interested. But they sure do try to pet him!
@kr0niXz That's the nature of the species. They are a hybrid, so you get a lot of variation. But TuffGuy had a Pug father and Pugglle Mother, so he is more of a Pug-Puggle. And he is relentless! Loud like the Beagles and stubborn like a Pug! But he is my shadow, always right next to me when we are home alone...almost has to be touching me. Of course, when the ladies are home he is a typical male! Off with the women! Great dogs, though! Thanks for commenting and viewing my video! John
@aviyerramreddy Thanks! New one today! Snoring like a buzz saw but I was afraid to get closer and wake him up...so it doesn't sound as loud as it was. Funny!
What a perfect pug mask (s)he has!!! Most of the puggles I see tend to look more beagle-ish. Does he have more pug than beagle in his mix or was it the typical half/half?
beautiful dog and thanks for posting the videos. :)
Thank you! Yes, because they are a hybrid they can range from one extreme to the other. TuffGuy is more Pug in his masking. But he is as stubborn as any Beagle alive! Thank you for the compliment!

@ssips720 My puggle does the exact same thing! She takes over the bed underneath the covers! What we'll do for our spoiled puggles :)
