I've been trying to figure out the fingering and phrasing of the last two measures, just before the tune goes into the part where it switches to G Major (that's right where you stopped the excerpt.) Watching your fingering, I was able to nail it in 3 or 4 tries. Thanks!

@kity0114 -- its a 19th century tyrolean violin. we just posted a video of a similar violin this week that has a very similar back...we forgot to show the back on this vid but its is beautifully inlaid...if you check out our latest video, you'll see the work that was inlaid...along with the "rope" edge, its a remarkable instrument.

Are violins Cheep?

@zanewoody -- wow, violins are priced all over the place...from less than $100 to millions. on average though, if you ever have the opportunity to watch a violinmaker make a violin, i think you'll come away thinking that violins are a bargain. you can still get a nice antique violin that was completely made by hand for a very reasonable price. best to match your level of play with how much you spend...i'm not an expert on this...your local violin shop can help.
