  • this is what you call romancing the sax...I am trying hard not to get turned on...L.

  • That's a bad mammuh-jammuh!!! If this doesn't make you want to pick up a tenor sax and start whaling on that bad boy, I don't know what will!

1:50 to 2:05 is where he kicks it like Bruce Lee and then again at 2:19 through the end! Sweet!

  • great !

  • I love his playing!

  • SMOOTH JAZZ at his BEST.....i got it in my venes...for ever....

    thx for the upload

  • Cant agree with Schafe 98's assessment of RE. Met him once and praised him for making my year on an earlier show that I had been to about 9 years earlier. He genuinely seemed embarassed but very very grateful for the compliment.

  • Damn!!! Rich really did his thing on this one!

  • You really can't say who is better. They both have their own style. Richard plays sex on the the sax, if you know what I mean. I like them both but Richard has a unique sound.

  • maravilloso

  • OMG, Richard is MASTER at what he does. I LOVE his style, his flavor. I have yet to see him live, but given the opportunity I will be sure to be in the front row or close to it. Can't get enough of Richard. Picking up his latest CD tomorrow.

Loved all 2:56 minutes of this. Thanx so much for posting this video. WONDERFUL!!

  • im loving the sax

I usually hate smooth jazz but he's giving it a good name

  • OMFG!!!!!!!!!

  • o my god so so so good

  • No, he plays on what' s called a Lawton. You can find vintage versions to read about at Saxquest or PM Woodwind.

  • Richard is indeed one the best SmoothJazz Saxofonist. I went to see him, Rick Braun and Oleta Adams a couple of years ago. Boy, what an outstanding live act it was! Everything was there: Power, Sensuality, Melody, Improvisation... The packed hall went wild and satisfied. Absolutely unforgetable!

  • Nutt'n else to sat but..........WOW!!!!!!

  • daaaaamn!!!!

i gotta learn how to play like him

  • This the best sax tunes I have ever heared!!!

Richard is the master of SmoothJazz.

I can still listen it over and over again.

I hope to be someday in his show...

  • Thats what I call Bringing down the thunder!!!

  • I've seen Richard twice and sat right in front of him to where he blew that sax right in my face practically while I took pictures. He's a monster on the sax with unlimited power! Go see him. You WON'T be disappointed. Just listen to the crowd.

  • his son is one of my besties

    =]

  • To agree with the person who posted this, I 'met' him and got a cd signed in Clearwater, FL in 2006 and he was very sincere, and cared to sign cds. I don't remember him playing like this that night though :(
