* Redeemable point systems fail with customer retention because it's too easy to valuate them; instead, focus on perceived value and build it INTO the experience, not as an external factor.
* Respect that not everyone has the same measures for success and achievement as you do by providing a customizable frame of reference which gives short-term and long-term goals.
