The change from aluminium to plastic seem a little cocky to me...

Aluminium is a more expensive material that interferes with radio signal, it seem like a poor choice of material for a phone in the first place... it makes the new plastic seem like an upgrade because it is cheaper and does work better, which IMHO should have been chosen in the first place.

I read the SDK EULA, and TomTom and whoever else can NOT make a turn by turn GPS, as the EULA prohibits it. In fact, I think even if it did have turn by turn, I don't think it would be a good experience. The battery is just not cut out for it. They'd need to make a car adapter, and a mount of some sort. Love the videos, keep them up!

The coverage has nothing to do with the phone itself. You'll have to consult your carrier. Their website should have detailed coverage maps, and if they are a company with any standards, I think they should be increasing coverage a lot.

After rethinking, the new iPhone MAY provide better coverage, as the antenna is more exposed due to the plastic. I think you may want to get a friend who has one to come over and let you test it out before forking out the money!

I found a fix for the yellow tint! If you restore your iPhone in iTunes it puts the new firmware on it which reduces the tint!
