@zrifepsych actually story line both are from jap but the americans film it if it was me i would think that powered is more to the jap side becuz it has a jap opening while great i dun think there is, is there?

@zrifepsych Ultraman Great is the show that was filmed in Australia and that Ultra is supposed to be particularly powerful. Great has a different suit design from Powered. Though both shows didn't air in the respective locations where filmed, but were for Japan viewing. It is a shame too as I had hoped to see Powered here in the USA, and it didn't air. We got the Ultraman knock-off, Super Hero Samurai. Yucky show IMO. Was nothing like Ultraman, just a knock-off.

He's Kane Kosugi, he played Ryu Hayabusa in the Dead Or Alive movie adaptation, he is also the son of sho Kosugi the man who started the Ninja craze in Hollywood during the 80's and has appeared with his father in many of those movies as his son.

Actually, I think the series was released here too because I'm aware that there are two openings. One is this and the other is one without any lyrics and just shows the monsters. The series was short-lived though and didn't catch on either here or in Japan. I think you can find it on Youtube though.

Are you sure? I'm aware that the show was produced in English, but I'm fairly certain that the actual English version was never released. I'm not entirely sure though.

It was released, but because it only ran for 13 episodes, it never really caught on. The Japanese fanbase was upset at what the Americans did to Ultraman and Americans (at the time) didn't really understand the concept). The episodes (at least 8 of them) are up here on iTunes. As a side note, Ultraman Great was available as part of AOL's TV thingie.
