  • Does the school supply the wood? Otherwise I suspect this contest is all about finding the right wood, testing not only wood sources, but testing lots of pieces to find the strongest, less fair to poor students. Did those brilliant PHDs think of that?

    In 1979 I ruined an engineering challenge to build a rubber band driven device to run up a 2x4. My design was so good that everyone would forever copy it. Had two drive wheels clamped on either side. Ran at 39 mph and disintegrated on impact lol

  • lol true you can lyk crush it easily with your fingers.. last yea rwe made bridges and they were soo fragile we has to cut em with hak saw blades , and you had to be really gentle with em cuzz the techer wouldnt guve us any if we broke it
