Pretty poor simulator, and terrible 'pilot'. If you haven't put down in the first third of this runway, you have no hope of stopping. Even a 737 has difficulty stopping by the point you got the nose down. The landscape and the length of the runway are also entirely inaccurate. 747 SP's were landed in the late 70s and early 80s before Qantas gave up on them. You can also land a 777 at WLG. It was done in 2010 as a demonstration.

I also was wondering how a A380 could take off from WLG ...... due to the 90's a UA 747 -100 from LA was diverted from AKL to CHC, insufficient fuel meant it had to land in WLG and had to be stripped down to get it out of there after I think a couple of weeks ..... correct me if I am wrong ...... also was present at the first CO all female flight crew from LAX to AKL yaye .... during that time

I like this; it was done once upon-a-time on B747s, but not possible on A380s. The landscape is completely un-Wellington, though. The only part accurate is the rough shape of the landmass/coastlines. There are no houses or trees anywhere near the runway perimeter! Nevertheless, it was interesting. Thanks.

Sorry but that's not even vaguely close to Wellington Airport in most of those graphics. i'd give the person who designed the graphics about 1.5 out of 10 and they only scored that high because they managed to get an image on screen.

with autoland on, you can land in wellington also with an Antonov 225. try to land manually with a DC3 it's more challenging than press a button.

I think qantas used to fly 747SPs in there ages ago but thats about it. 767s flying only to Australia can land and take off there but they don't do it anymore. Otherwise planes like the 777 are simply to heavy to safely take off and land. Any miscalculation or emergency and its straight in the drink..

Views are very inaccurate, sorry. Not a particularly good simulation; all the hills are missing.

Since we've had the occasional 747 here, I guess it's possible a lightly laden A380 could do it. Fairly unlikely it'll happen, though.

Your Wellington scenery is way inaccurate. Did you know that Wellington Airport runs between two rows of High hills?, or that the houses are most all on hills. Little flat land around it at all, hence the wild turbulence that can be encountered. There is no land between the Southern end and Antarctica.
