He was the best player on a bad team, and therefore took a hell of a lot of shots, massively inflating his numbers. The MVP is a combination of team play and individual stats, thats why Dirk and Nash have their well deserved hardwear.

Lakers had 2 or 3 more wins than the Cavs, but Lebrons numbers were far and away better than Kobe's, averaging more points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals and was also much more efficient from the field. Other than his record, Kobe has no real argument.
