arn't there guards checking peoples pappers? according to -inside north korea- guards makes sure people inside the country cannot travle anywhere without permitts from officials, attempts ends...well in horrible consequences.
I look for every films or photos from this amazing trip. I'm sure to study Your blog jn near future, it may help me in learning english and let know some more about Orient world... with my lovely trains!
This route was not officially available to tourists when we took it, but we didn't care and just tried it. Fortunately it was a sucess and everything went well, but I can't guarantee that it would work a 2nd time...
Plenty of planted fields. You ever see or smell livestock - like hogs or cattle? What about Kimchee pots? In South Korea every family has pots out back or on the roof. I don't see any in your pics...?

Very interesting blog and videos. It must have been really dangerous to get into this horrifying country.

Good! Make sure to tour one of the nuclear reactors so you can get blowed up when Israel bombs them.

Some of the clickety-clack sounds of the unwelded track on this video reminded me of the train ride into the zone, in Tarkovsky's 'Stalker' ... :)
