It is safe to say that Blackbeard is the main antagonist in this series now. I think there are two main events that awaits Luffy before he finds One Piece. The first one is his battle against Blackbeard. For now he is too weak to even consider to go after him. He must be much, much more stronger. Stronger than admiral at least. And second one is a big war Whitebeard predicted. I don't know what his role is goiing to be but possible all Supernovas will fight alongside him.

I think Oda is setting up Luffy's death to be similar to Gold Roger's death because Rayleigh said that Roger's adventure had to end because he came down with an illness the same may happen to Luffy or Luffy may die an early death due to overuse of Gear 2nd which wears on his life span and Ivankov's treatment which took about 10 years off of Luffy's life. I'm sure Oda has the perfect ending planned out!

It is safe to say that Blackbeard is the main antagonist in this series now. I think there are two main events that awaits Luffy before he finds One Piece. The first one is his battle against Blackbeard. For now he is too weak to even consider to go after him. He must be much, much more stronger. Stronger than admiral at least. And second one is a big war Whitebeard predicted. I don't know what his role is goiing to be but possible all Supernovas will fight alongside him.

He may have even more powers since the war, or his crew members might have multiple powers as well. So yeah, Blackbeard is probably going to be the primary enemy of the series, and will be REALLY hard to beat, considering the circumstances.

I think Oda is setting up Luffy's death to be similar to Gold Roger's death because Rayleigh said that Roger's adventure had to end because he came down with an illness the same may happen to Luffy or Luffy may die an early death due to overuse of Gear 2nd which wears on his life span and Ivankov's treatment which took about 10 years off of Luffy's life. I'm sure Oda has the perfect ending planned out!

When blackbeard throws him to the ground and it hurts him that makes no sense. The nullification of devil fruit powers only works while he is touching them. So when he lets go of luffy and he hits the ground he should have been rubber again.
