Man, why are you taking this game like a serious game? It's a cartoon poking fun of older cartoons and this is a game pokes fun of Ace Attorney. You keep trying to compare the two as if it was meant to be a competitor of Ace Attorney... It's not. This game is pretty much the lost episodes of the TV series, and really that's all the original Phoenix Wright game is, a story. If you are looking for amazing gameplay and mechanic, go play Deus Ex or something...

I haven't played Phoenix Wright yet so as a newcomer would you recommend me playing Harvey Birdman? I mean despite being like a water down version of Phoenix Wright, it can be enjoyable, just not as much.

Okay, can you not combine or relate this game to Ace Attourney a hundred times. I don't have a DS or Ace Attourney. btw this game isn't really worth a rent, I got this game for $10.00 & it's not just the cut scenes that is good, the whole game is good. You should've said this, "If you never played Ace Attourney, but a huge fan of the Harvey Birdman series, buy it. If you played Ace Attourney before this game, rent it. If you never saw the Harvey Birdman series, get up and go watch it now."

If you like point and click games, then this is the game for you. It was a fun game, but I really suck at the court cases. So I guess if you like the Ace Attorney games, then this is a sure buy, but for everyone else, a rental.

i found phoenix wright had MUCH more logic then this one, it took me about3-3 1/2 hours to beat this game, and it took me 2-3 hours to do some of the later missions in phoenix wright, but i just love the idea of burrowing into peoples skin, and finding there lies xD i need to be a lawer when i grow up

I LOVE the Ace Attorny series! i knew this was going to be a rip-off of the series, cause i saw screenshots in Nintendo Power, and i said "Well THIS looks familiar.". But the Ace Attorny series is HARD sometimes (It takes me at least a month to beat some cases), so this is a good attorny game to get started on and not have too much trouble, then when u get good, play the ds games.
