  • the best long commented vidoe i ever see, and i dont like to mess that up here goes gerat video man adfdfocool leasstrae dwer, kvocntm rhteser cx gog mfn -r

  • The author makes no case that "all religions are mostly wrong." None of the major religions claim to have a patent on truth. It's the adherents who, through ignorance and intolerance, make this claim. Sure, religion, used as a coercive force to control the 99%, has been responsible for many deaths-- but faith in science could do us all in.

  • The originator of this story must have wisdom greater than anyone who ever lived OR how would he/she know that no relegion has the truth. I now wonder why the author of 6 BLIND MEN AND AN ELEPHANT has not shared more about the real truth with us. To be honest, it seems this "parable" is actually lacking and may be dangerous as it claims a knowledge no one could possibly have..

  • @ntguytx Hi, nothing wrong with this parable (as parables are): its true insofar as it is relevant to the question. To me, it concludes simply that no matter how intelligent or 'educated' we are, we CANNOT completely know what God exactly is. That said, I wouldn't disagree with someone who said that his own religion were more right than others just that I wouldn't condone the use of physical violence to advance such claim.

  • It has been proven that there are other dimensions... Just because you can't see the effects of them without special equipment doesn't mean that they are not real... Don't bs religion if your science tells you something just as "non-existing" as God.

  • This is an inaccurate analogy and childish video. The elephant is a real living organism with physical proof of existence. Using the elephant as a metaphor for the concept of god makes no sense. There is evidence that elephants are real, but there is no evidence for the existence of god. And which god? Greek gods? or Thor?

  • @DTBSAI Maybe the video is trying to say that all the gods made by the human imagination are in fact one insane god with multiple personalities constantly in conflict with one another.

  • @DTBSAI I agree that the video is rather poor, but you failed to grasp what the author was saying. The men are blind! They are all groping at the elephant to conclude what it is, and they are all groping different parts of it.

  • @Leonicdragon you sound like a religious apologist. This is a pathetic video and is a logical fallacy.

  • @DTBSAI A religious apologist? lol well you clearly can only entertain notions of existence that are concrete regardless of their fallacy and existence as nothing more than an assertion. So in a way, your evolutionary theories have no more concrete evidence than any theory of a creator. Oh but you would rather blindly trust a scientist over ancient documents, because they are intelligent professionals from THIS era. YOU are an evolutionary apologist

  • @Leonicdragon what a pathetic come back. There is plenty of empirical evidence for evolution you dummy.

  • @DTBSAI There is no evidence that there is no go either. Just as there is no evidence to concretely explain how the universe and mankind came into existence. Atheists are just as blind as any religious person because in the end, you have to have blind faith in something. That is why atheism is really doublethink. You think you are only believing what you think is the truth just because some men who call themselves scientists come up with unsubstantiated theories, however we are all human.

  • @Leonicdragon there is no evidence of the existence of god. And the burden of proof is on a person like you making the claim that there is a god. But first please define which god are you talking about? Thor?

Unsubstantiated theories? You are seriously illiterate when it comes to science.

  • @Leonicdragon See that is your greatest misconception. Theories can be disproven in science. In order for something to become a theory, you have to eliminate bias, confounding variables and other hindering effects. You are then left with a theory in which other scientists may attempt to replicate and either prove valid or disprove. It's all about validity. Your god is not proven, you are taking someone else's word for it. You are using confirmation bias and doing a terrible job at it.

  • @Raiderfan123 likewise. A theory MUST be proven in order to be accepted as scientific fact. Therefore evolution as well as pretty much all spirituality is theoretical according to those terms. That said, just because we don't have the technology or mental capacity to understand things does not mean that they did not occur, and it's EXTREMELY arrogant to assume that our species is omniscient and infallible.

  • @Leonicdragon Evolution makes more sense than having an omnipotent god who created all, and is far higher in being than his creations. Most like pawns in a chess set. I never assumed the human race was infallible or omniscient. That would be very arrogant of me, but given that science can actually be proven and there are theories that can be backed up, as opposed to faith which is just one's word. I think I know where I'll stand, I'll never let faith run my life.

  • @Raiderfan123 Well that's fine. I for one have researched where the theory of evolution came from and it's purpose in the master scheme of things and much more that I couldn't write in this box, and neither would I waste my breath on someone like you. Enjoy your freedom while you have it.

  • @Leonicdragon Master scheme? Much like being devoted to some god who controls every aspect of our lives. Don't worry, you're not superior to me for your beliefs, I wouldn't waste my time on you either. I'll have my freedom for as long as I live and supposing I don't do any such action that would liberate me from such freedoms. No god is going to take them away, because no god created them. We created them, and we can take them away.
