At the end of the video at the part where you hear the men talking, that's actually from a video documentary on U-Boats. The men were in Jacksonville, Fla and there was a carnival going near Ponte Vedra and people saw a huge orange ball explosion on a ship. The U-123 skippered by Reinhard Hardegen hit the tanker Alcoa America. U-123 surfaced and wanted to finish it off with the deck gun. Hardegen made the U-Boat swing around the other side of the ship so that rounds might not hit the carnival.
Correction on my text - it was the SS Gulfamerica the U-123 torpedoed off of Jacksonville, not the Alcoa America. This was 2 miles off the coast near Ponte Vedra. People who were at a fair right near the beach could see the torpedo explosion. The people (voices heard) at the end of the video here were eyewitnesses to the event.
