La voz de Atlantov es de las más hermosas de la Historia, pero un cantante de ópera debe tener mucho más. Este tenor ierra las letras de lo que canta (en español y en italiano, en ruso igual no), no articula ni se le entiende nada, lo canta todo a cañón sin respetar los matices de la partitura...claro que quien no la conoce no lo sabe. Una voz imponente pero sin alma ni musicalidad.

Atlantov can be heard in the same opera on the Bella Voce label w/ Marily Zschau. Live from 1979.

Good thing we have live performance recordings or we would never hear some very exciting singers.

Atlantov, is defenitevily on of the best tenors of his generation.he is as good as any of our "tenorgods" from 50s to 80 s..but because he was trapped under the Sovjet system, he did not get the opporturnities and respect, what his western colleges received! But that does not effect my opinion about him...to me he is one of teh best of all times...maybe the best! beauty of the voice, enthusiasm..everything in his carisma!
