  • The Perkins special closed a kind of musical circle for George, since he cut his teeth on early rock and rockabilly songs. His love of Perkins' music is well known and perfectly understandable, since its style and temperament mirrored George's own personality.

  • I just love this kind of stuff ... because It shows the real guys !

It's great to see a show when all has been rehearsed and going good - but it's also great to see the reality and little foibles. It makes one feel so much more close to the artist(s).

  • George WAS the beautiful one.

  • Is that Dave Edmunds?

  • @skaboosh i was wondering the same thing. i think so.

  • Has anyone ever seen George happier than when he did this gig??

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • That's a nice Country Gent that George has got there. I wish he were still alive. I'd give anything to meet him. He's my inspiration for wanting to learn to play guitar!

  • Great to see this behinds-the-scenes footage of legends.

  • wish he was still alive. (George). What a cutie.

  • LOL, even at this point George was not completing the verse "...dressed it up and it called it ME". As I read he never liked to really complete it by saying "Me" since he thought it was very self centered. He was such a wonderful guy. Amazing that when he was a kid he admired Perkins and at the end he was in the same stage with him.

  • I am so glad this happened! It's a good time to be alive.

    Thanks so mu beatlesaus!

  • Does anyone know if this was ever put out on DVD as extra material for the "Rockabilly Session" . Never seen this before, and it's really cool

  • ahhhhhh

    Georgie we miss ya!!

    thanks for the video

  • Unbelievable the influence a man can have in one's life! Rock on, George, one time for me!

  • I love Carl's poodle wig

  • Dave Edmunds used an original Boogie amp years before they put Mesa on the front.

George always seemed to get younger in the 70s.

  • @alwaysopen This was filmed in 1985

  • @thenowuk

Well, I guess the 80s as well. Paul McCartney looks like Angela Lansbury these days.

  • @alwaysopen True! mind you,he is 68! we'll all be screwed by then-he looked really young until around 55 then suddenly aged loads (maybe it was the one-legged cash grabber). Ringo still looks the same but has shrunk!

  • @thenowuk

HAHA! The ole one legged pirate, heh?

  • @alwaysopen the very same!

  • Thanks for putting this up. Good stuff.

  • thanks for the post...this is great!
