I remember sinking so much time into this game back then. I completely redid my own spheregrid. Every stat could reach 255 and my characters still had about 32k hp, I wanna say that the before I stopped playing I was up to 234:34 hours played.

i thought the 99999 damage was stupid in this game. Rather than going about fixing the damage problem in final fantasy games, they went and made it worse! sword swipe = 99999 damage, monsters swipe or ultima attack = at least 10x less. That really irritated nme about this game, it was glaring enough in other games like 7 when sephiroth did supernova and did a mere 3000 or so damage, then you select attack and do 9999.

yeh and totally defeats the point. Upscaling everything then starting from the same lowly 300 odd HP at the start of the game is just going to make the whole thing even more unbalanced. Regular bosses would fail even more so to be a challenge because as soon as a character gets past a certain poiint were they gain certain skills or abilities a bit ahead of when they're meant to, the boss becomes like a 3 hit ko or something silly.

You can do 99999 damage by slicing a massive monster, but it pounds you or hits you with a massive laser or world destroying attack and does 2100 damage. C'mon, even if its final fantasy it still should have some logic to it.

thas where maxin ur stats comes into play. if u play it through without goin sik on the stats every enemy is gonna be shit hard. all the hp, strength, defence n shi is ur reward for play it so much.

can some people never think outside the box? Other rpgs have come up with more convincing systems, and ff9 wasn't too bad for difficulty and balance. In my opinion on levelling up most improvement should go into basic stats and skill availability, and enemies shoudl evolve with you. There should be more parameters and independent variables suc that defeated enemies is based more on skill and strategy than levlling up to the max.

Arbitrary Example - limit breaks - make them situation/field/enemy dependent, such that it gives certain values to a "fear" or "adrenaline" meter. Like for that giant enemy it would be high up, enabling say "level 3" limits like (i realise this ff10, just easiest to think of) meteorain by default, but then on certain actions in the battle it could increase to level 4. A meter like this could also be used to determine efficiency of other attacks/abilities so cant become overused in easy battles

in questa partita me lha sempre tirato yuna. in una precedente lulu. mi sa che dipende da come ti comporti durante il gioco. se tipo parli + spesso con lulu te lo tire lei e viceversa. magari mi sbaglio (cmq non c'è un opzione che permette di scegliere chi farlo tirare)
