1. Total bust in LaRue Martin
2. Walton injured after winning a title
3. Bowie getting injured
4. Not getting Sabonis until years later
5. Oden almost always disabled
The decisions to draft these players weren't unreasonable at the times they were made. It's just that they have extremely bad luck with regrettable consequences later on after making them. It's such a shame and I feel for them.

Durant is no question the better player but who is to say how Durant in PDX would have stunted Roy's growth as a leader. And what would our center situation look like? I think a solid 14,10 and 3 blk Oden is essential to winning a championship. I love KD ... but for this team, we need balance and talented big men.

This was last year, and Portland is only getting better. I am saying second round of the playoffs, maybe farther depending on who the play and what seed they are. I won't say champs this year, but within the next three years for sure.

definately. :) i cried when i watched this. i am so passionate about this team. i don't know what it is about them, but i would rather spend my nights watching there games then out with friends. it is crazy how much a team can impact you. sounds dramatic, but it is TRUE. i just hope they are just as successful (or even more) this year as they were last year. anyway, trail blazers forever!

This was last year, and Portland is only getting better. I am saying second round of the playoffs, maybe farther depending on who the play and what seed they are. I won't say champs this year, but within the next three years for sure.

i saw that game last yr. was incredible! surely the best climatic-ending of the (early) season! i got lucky, and had taken my family :) I'll never forget it! Roy is a wonder & delight! gO BLAZERS!

wow i so wanted the lakers to meet them in the second round this year, it would have been an interesting series. And my lakers would get a revenge from that 30 point lose to them, but we are going to see plenty of lakers vs. blazers in the next 5 years so it will be interesting

This video gave me chills. I had goosebumps the whole ten minutes of it. I remember watching and listening to these games (more often listening, stupid Comcast...) and I am so excited for next year! Next year-40th B-Day, OUR SEASON! I am a young Blazer fan who grew up watching the Blazers. The early years for me include the dissapointing loss in the WCF in 2000, and the descent of the team. But seeing the Blazers making this ascension, the Rip City Revival has got me going! p.s. -BEAT LA!

i think as a blazer fan we have a shot at a title but we just need to get consisted and experiance especially on the road, and then be able to beat lakers celtics and cavs multiple times not just the season but the playoffs. if we can do that we can be champions

So i noticed a few things..Nic;s block at 0:30 was not in the Nba's top 10 blocks, granted there are alot of blocks in one season, Rudys inbound alley op to Roy at 0:34 was not in the top 10 for assist or play of the year, or even his behind the back at 2:23 figures lol, lets see what else. haha even batums dunk at 3:43 was almost better then james simple left handed dunk that was #1, ohh but batum cant beat james..,.and im not sure if rudys 5 points in 3 seconds was a top 10 play

could somebody reassure me paul allen won't move the pride of oregon to seattle??? i,m so scared that since the nba don't want to pay the city of seattle that extra $30,000 dollars they promised to if they don't get a team in seattle by 2013, they will get paul allen to move the blazers to seattle. to be fair, both cities deserve pro basketball and oklahoma city should'nt have a team in the first place, but don't move our beloved blazers. move the clippers, nobody in LA cares about them anyway.
